I noticed today one of my Camden's side scuttles is peeling - the clear plastic coating is lifting off around the edges. I'm sure it's a warranty repair but I just wanted to let my fellow Camden peeps know to be on the lookout for this issue. Let's hope it's an isolated one.

 

It is hard to tell from the picture, but are you sure it is not just a plastic coating for shipping purposes? It looks like you could just peel it off and all would be ok.

Sorry if I am way off. I just test drove my 1st MINI today. Very much a newbie!

My side scuttles were peeling as well. I just pulled all the plastic covering off when it was warm out (because it was easier to do in the heat). I'm guessing it's a protective thing for shipping. So far they're fine. Rip it off!

 

I did the MINI of Peabody Poker Rally last weekend and was able to snap a few "glamour shots" along the way.

I was at MINI of Peabody on Saturday. Took 2 test drives in 2 different MINIs. My first time! Oooh, it felt so good!

Anyway......

I decided (with the help of my wife) to forgo new and get used instead so we can keep our BMW X3 and not trade it in.

Boy am I an idiot! It was a protective covering. One side had it and the other didn't. It just peeled right off. I guess this is something usually removed at the factory or the dealer.

Hey guys! Have a look at the first pics I took of my S Camden last night! I'll officially get it tomorrow night, but a little "stalking" never hurt anyone right? It actually allowed us to shyly get acquainted, and I think we will be great friends!

Already know I will take the longest way home from the dealership tomorrow... And then some!

Got my S Camden last night! *Swoon!* I love it! Sad that I'm not motoring at the moment, but thankfully the weekend is near! Off to have a 3M clear bra installed later this afternoon!

Only thing I've noticed that seems odd is that on a white leather area of the passenger's seat, it looks like there is not enough padding or something... The leather looks crinkled because of it. Not sure the pictures show it well, but thinking I should at least mention it to my dealer...

Anyway - can't believe I actually have a MINI! I think I'm doing lots of typical things MINIacs do, i.e., taking plenty of pics, looking back (more than once) when I walk away from it, peeked in the garage (more than once) to see how it was doing last night, calling everybody I know using the Bluetooth Connectivity... and the list goes on... - says the girl with the perma grin!

 

How many times have you washed/waxed/dusted yet? I've had mine for about 4 weeks and the answer daily to one degree or another!
