So, does anyone know the part number of the Xeon light assembly (the entire thing) from the Camden? I like the factory painted black interiors of the Xeon lights, and was curious if it's a simple swap witih the Xeon light fixture from the 2009 Mini's?

I thought that all Camdens came with a sunroof and black and white seats? (As part of the Camden package).

The sunroof is not part of the Camden package, and the black/white seats are standard with the Camden package, I just think that smpeck chose the black leather option.

This is indeed the case.

As much as I liked the look of the black/white seats, I wasn't too sure about having white leather on a seating surface. Not sure if many pictures online show it, but the black/white seats also have a very sweet turquoise colored stitching - the same stitching appears on the leather shifter/parking brake covers. The black leather does not feature the same stitching.

Don't wait too long to order a Camden. I imagine it won't be possible to do so once they start producing 2011s.

I think the sunroof is part of the Camden package in Canada. Saw it as 'standard' on Mini.ca and also mentionned in a few articles such as this one:

Hope it's true!

Would someone mind PMing me their vin or chassis number. I want to order the black headlights but the vin number is required to do so. I did the Joey mod on mine and had some damage done to my original lights. My insurance is paying to replace the headlights so I want to get the camden lights to avoid having to do the joey mod again. Thanks in advance.

Good news. According to my dealer, you don't need the VIN or Chassis number of any Candem. You just need the part numbers:

63-12-7-271-573 Bi-Xenon Camden 50 Left
63-12-7-271-574 Bi-Xenon Camden 50 Right

MSRP in the US is in the $700 for each, but maybe Morristown can get it cheaper.

I think people have already done this mod.

It will be all that and more! Maybe it's because it's my first Mini, but every day while driving to work I think to myself, "Damn this is a great car!" I wish my drive were longer... Congrats!

That's good to hear!!! I have yet to test drive a Mini as there's only 1 dealership in my area and he has no automatics that I could drive at the moment, but I can't wait to experience what all the fuss is about!

More pics of Camdens would be most welcomed guys!!!

Aww yeah, that's how I am. If you try driving stick and practice (practice, practice and more practice) it can be fun. For me, I went with an automatic cause I know thats what I'm comfortable with (and also generally drive friendly). Once you get used to the way it drives, you can almost drive it and have the control of a standard. Of course some people will still roll their eyes at you since it's an automatic but it's your comfort level.
I hope you get a chance to drive one and play. They're REALLY fun, manual or automatic. OH, but get the sport wheel/option.

I don't know about everyone else... but I'm getting a big kick out of Mission Control. The characters/voices are very entertaining in a British sort of way. I never know what they're going to say. I thought for sure I'd have turned Mission Control off by now, but it's just too much fun.

I wouldn't want to spoil anything by sharing my favorite Mission Control quotes, but I have several.

Just curious what others are thinking about this unique feature.

My wife enjoys it more than I do. It's entertaining for a few days, but then I switch it off. Most of the chatter is at start up, so it's not too bad, but some mornings it can be tedious.

Well it seems like MINI is planning to stay with it. I was reading on motoringfile how it will be part of MINI connected.http://www.motoringfile.com/2010/02/...ed/#more-11313
So maybe it will evolve! They are definitely spending money on it!

Yeah it can be a bit tedious. I'm in the habit of putting my seat belt on before I start the car, so there's really no need for it to jabber about the seat belt check. But I do like the engine temperature check and the fuel level check.

I never know what it's going to say when I take a curve with any speed. It hasn't repeated itself yet in that situation.

It'll be interesting to see how Mission Control evolves.

Does anyone know what Mission Control's "Acceleration Report" means?

Seems like the engine voice does the acceleration report when the Sport button is pressed and you accelerate from a dead standstill and get the RPMs just over 3K. I can't figure out what the numbers mean - I know I'm not doing 0-60 in 4.35 seconds or whatever it's saying.

Anyone else heard the acceleration report yet?
