Great build! Similar to mine. Just an FYI, adding the Navigation System deletes Mission Control!!

Yeah she thought the mission control was neat but she wouldn't have left it on anyway! It was like two or three people having a conversation around you. We test drove one with it. Definitely different! Did you get yours yet OzR56?

Camden S tires?

What kind of performance tires installed in your Camden? I think U.S. version and Canadian verison are different because mine Camden has ContiProContact SSR which is grand touring all season tire. I filed a complaint to BMW Canada and hopefully I'll get a real set of performance tires.

Got my Camden a week ago Friday. Loving it! It's my first MINI, although I've been wanting one since my test drive in 2001.

Maybe Mission Control was built for girls, because I find them amusing. Maybe it's because they remind me of my parents (I'm English). Engine was sarcastic today, and Coach made fun of him. When it starts to get repetitive, I'll turn them off. So far, they keep coming up with new banter that reminds me of home and makes me smile.

I was also surprised by the time it takes to warm up.

My Camden is half way across the Atlantic. (Ordered 02-JAN-2010, Build Complete 15-JAN-2010, Left Southhampton 20-JAN-2010) Hoping to be taking delivery in the next couple of weeks. Will post lots of pics then.

Question about Mission Control: When the voices engage, does the stereo volume go down so you can hear what they say?

I'm suspecting Mission Control will irritate me - although it would be cool if MINI comes up with a different set of characters/voices that we can swap out. I may not mind a droid/computer voice so much.

Yes, the stereo volume goes down. You still can hear it, but the mission control takes priority. It's a bit annoying sometimes, specially when you are listening to a song or to some news and it gets cut off when the mission control kicks in.

My motoring advisor showed me how to turn down the sensitivity on Mission Control so they are less chatty. Perhaps that will cut down on the enthusiasm and just keep the essentials, like warm up, seat belt, etc.. Have you guys fuzted with that?

Or maybe I dreamed that? It's possible, because I was so caught up in the moment when I took delivery.

Glad to hear your liking your Camden! How long did you have to wait from start to finish? Ours is in production now and the wife can't wait till it gets here.

Don't know what brand they are putting on now but someone else could probably answer this better. I know they use to use Dunlop's but not sure now.

Mine ought to be here tomorrow! We found it at the port, otherwise I'd have started from scratch. Standard Camden package and wheels with black roof, sunroof, anthracite headliner, alarm, auto a/c, and blackjack mirror caps. It's my first Mini, so I'm really looking forward to the car and being part of the club. Will post photos soon.

Actually, I waited less than 24 hours. I bought it in San Diego, and they transferred it from a dealer in LA the day it arrived. They brought her down on a flatbed and I went to pick her up the same hour.

I love her! I just need to watch my speed and avoid tickets now. I'm used to driving a Prius and putting my foot to the floor to get on the freeway. Did that the first night I had the Camden and realized I was going 95 before I merged. Oops! Love the tachometer where the speedometer usually is. "But officer, I was only going 4."

I have always dreamed of getting the full JCW, and when she arrived we discovered she had the JCW strut brace under the hood. Nice touch.

I just put in my order last night. I'm trading in so I'm VERY excited.

I was told that the delivery should be by the end of February so I was a little shocked to say the least. My last build took at least 2 months.

I've the horizon blue camden coming my way, white roof, no stripe, infinite spoke, cold weather package, etc. I'm veeeeery excited.

Very Cool!
Ours is at the dock in Southampton awaiting a shipping vessel! Tried tracking it on the WW website to try to find the ship but no luck yet.

You won't, unless they install NON-runflats. And they won't.

Yeah, when we were doing my build we were able to put performance tires on but when we put the order in, it kept kicking back to the stupid runflats.

Did anyone order the black Camden?
