Sounds like an unusual color combination, but could be quite striking. I suppose someone might be able to mock up a pic in Photoshop if all else fails.

I know, I know. But I wanted to have something different, but cool. If it looks too silly then I won't do it. Any suggestions on what looks cool? Besides the typical white or black.

"Cool" is most definitely a matter of personal taste; what looks good to one may look like complete ***** to another.

In terms of a general color scheme, however, you might get a general idea of the DS/SY combo from the MINI-E:

If seen the Mini E, but that is more of a Lime green. I guess I'll stick the the typical monochromatic colors.

IMHO, the only color to go with the dark silver is black! End of discussion. Unless you like silver and then I'd do silver everywhere I could.

I have a dark silver 07. I have toyed with the idea of adding dark blue strips. maybe even with a thin white line on the edges for accent.
But I just keep driving.....

Actually, I think PS stripes on DS could be cool... and I'm pretty sure I've seen pix of that combo somewhere around here....

Alternately, I'd also think about either red or orange stripes (probably with black or white pinstripes).... It would definitely be different, but should work okay with dark silver.

Think it can work well if the tone is right with ds pretty much anything can work... i've seen a ds with red mirror caps and racing stripes before.... not my taste but sure that yellow can be quite striking.... Mine's got the std black combo... let's see some pics/ photoshop combo's....

Here is a quick photoshop for you. I think white pin striping would look best so that's what I did but if you really want to see it with black I can do another edit.

This is what I ended up doing. I had Lyle from vinyl styles do me up.
