So my dealer did an evil thing...

I had to bring my MINI in for the window gremlin again and instead of a BMW or Enterprise car, I actually got a MINI loaner!

Here's what I got!
2009 Cooper S Cabrio- Dark Silver/Black stripes, chocolate leather interior, premium package and I don't know what else....

All I know is that HOLY $H!T the S has more power! I skidded around a corner yesterday- it was fabulous!

Pure evil giving me this car. I love my car to bits but.....this cabrio rocks! The good news is that its like $15k more than my MINI so at least getting one is out of the question right now!

Nice! I arranged to get a loaner for my 1 year service. I've only had BMW's and enterprise rentals thus far, I hope I can get something decent, yours is pretty awesome!

The same thing happened to me when I had to get my water pump fixed! They gave me a 6 speed 07 MCS. So much more fun than my car. Made me very jealous.

With the options I got on my MC, I probably could have afforded an S with no options for a little more, I really wish I would have!

I bought an 07 MCS on the 24th of June, it didn't start the next day. The place I bought it from took care of getting it fixed while giving me another Mini as a loaner. The knew I was going to Minis on Top and drive to the top of Mt Washington with it. So they gave me the Mini to "keep me happy." Good idea on their part! But the loaner wasn't as fun as the one I had just bought.

Our dealer started giving out loaners instead of Enterprise cars. I think they got a bunch they couldn't sell because of the economy so they invested in a loaner fleet.

So far I've only got a MCa, it was interesting playing with the paddles and seeing if the auto really never does change up to 6th in sport mode.

Previously it was merely an insurance issue. Rental cars thru dealer was better liabilitiy wise. Must be they have blanket coverage policy now thru Lords of London ?

my dealer only gives out Enterprise. It is so lame, I told them never to call me for the experience rating because no way was I giving them 5 stars when I get a POS. When I was there getting a flat fixed a they only had an F150, a Tacoma, or a PT Crusiser. this lady (dropped of a 7 series) refused to take any and waited for like 30 minutes to get something else.

opposite

I had just the opposite, my loaner was the Club auto....not for me.

Anyway, usually they give premium loaners so you'll want one, I was actually hoping for a B'mer, not that I could afford one

Brad hooked me up!

No 6 speed.....I can't drive a stick....yet. Terrible, I know- my husband is teaching me. I can now successfully back his car out of the driveway and move to the street without stalling it. Maybe a little lurching but eh, whatever.

Mini of Dallas gave me a choice on the loaner and I picked out a non-S with the 6 speed. I realize that I am definitely addicted to the power, but I loved the ride with the 16" wheels. The ride on my 17" wheels is not that bad, but the ride on the 16" wheels was sooo much smoother (are the 16" wheels on the non-S run-flats?). It was a treat to be able to pick out the one I wanted.

They come with runflats as standard, though they're H speed rated, not V rated, which could possibly make them a little softer.

I think it would just be wrong to give up your Oxy Blue. Now if you're talking about adding another MINI to the family--that's a whole different ballgame!

Give up the Oxy Blue? Never!!! As much as the MCS cabrio was fun to drive, I couldn't wait to get my car back

you're lucky. I dropped mine off there yesterday and got a Chevy HHR, talk about a buzzkill It might be the ugliest car I've ever seen, and definitely the ugliest I've ever had to drive.

Silly Rabbits!! Of course they're going to loan you the faster, more expensive loaner cars; they're doing their best to tempt you in every way possible.

I only have experienced ONE loaner car from a MINI dealer - back when I was in Germany waiting for my '04 MCS to come in...I got an MC cabrio. I was NOT a happy camper... My dealer here in VA never has any loaners to offer at all - at least not when I need them anyway. Good thing I kept my truck.
