Stupid, but lucky

Stopped at a stop and rob this morning and got a touch less car wash done. Kinda a good rinse between washings. As we sat thru the wash we decided to make a couple more stops before going home.
Roll out of the car wash and over an overpass and turn left. Lights are in my favor so I am rolling about 30-35 mph when I hit this wide left turn. Right at the apex is a transition in the pavement. I lift off the throttle and the back end just walked right out. I knew I was the only guy turning left, so I had both lanes to correct the spin. I started to downshift intending to pull the front back around, but I figured I would end up spinning it out the other direction. I just let it drift to a stop and then aimed it down the road and started over.
Wet, cool tires in traffic is no time to play stupid. Especially if the wife is in the car.

I've also noticed that my mini is a bit "Twitchy" at changes in the pavement. Especially metal ones. I guess that comes along with having such a short wheelbase.

It is a bit twitchy, but it stays on track upon interruptions in the pavement.... I'm going with cold and wet tires.... fun driving is a big nono for about a while after you wet up your tires without moving!
