MINI's sportin' a new look

Over the last month I've been doing a little work on the MINI, first it was Plasti-dip, then came real paint, next homemade stripes. What was I thinkin???
Actually I pleased with the results, she looks like a sports car now as well as drives like one. Check out the pics...........

I've had way to much time on my hands

Looks good!

Planning on striping the scoop and bottom of the front bumper as well just to tie it all in?

The scoop No, it gets to hot, the bottom of the bumper yes, I think I have enough scraps left to do both the front and rear.

I like the look as well. You did a fine job. I wish I were talented like that. I have to pay someone to do it. Just not very handy. Although I can wield a pretty mean random orbit polisher now.

I had the stripes cut at a local sighn shop. They are not my design, I found a pic of some stripes I liked and took measurements off the pic and came up with the deminsions. Not hard work anyone can do the same

Nice job! The stripes look great. Plasti Dip on your scoop would make it really look awsome!

Joey mod would look cool, I've already tried to open up the headlight to clean inside of one of mine. One of the bulbs exploded and smoked up the inside of the lens. After heating with a heat gun and prying and getting no where I chickened out and put it back in the car. Maybe later I'll get on to that mod, would really like the xenon lights, but I was to freaking cheap to go the extra $500.......my only real regret about my MINI

Since the scoop gets too hot for stripes, you might consider finishing off the aesthetics with a CF scoop.

The grill trim, tail light trim and gas cap are plasti-dip, The headlight rings are paint from Minspeed and is a perfect match.

Stripe the scoop. Run your car hard... at least on mine, the bonnet right above the plastic hood scoop is boiling hot, yet the scoop remains relatively cool to the touch. Perhaps it is the insulation under the scoop. I have a late-model 2008.

Dude, it looks awesome and I love how you flipped the roof. I would hit the scoop also (and lower bumper). Love the colors.
