What do you mean by euro tailights? What is the difference between US and Euro spec?

The factory tail lights for US and Europe are the same (see the part numbers on RealOEM.com). Did you mean aftermarket lights?

Euro Lights normally mean without side reflectors (which is required by law in the states) and have clear blinkers which you could order from the factory.

However, Mini lights do not have side reflectors because they are in the fender flares.

sorry - yes, i mean aftermarket. I've seem them called euro before. They have a better looking lighting configuration. I read one thread talking about a very expensive LED kit but the r53 has tons of options for aftermarket tail lights. Why not the r56??

Basically, as others have said, R56 Minis are just too new. Naother example is aftermarket chrome interior parts. There is always a new chrome piece made for the R53 interior (cheeseball stuff ), while the R56 has three options; the factory chrome retrofit, cheap Moss Mini chrome rings, or none at all. Slowly but surely there will be some new tailights for R56. Mainly, once the overall value comes down, and people start looking at R56 more for modding than just plain transportation, there will be an increased demand for such after market parts.
