MCS comes with black grill. MC (non-S) comes with chrome. Aftermarket black grills are plentiful from numerous sources. About $50 and up.

I plan to get a black grill from Outmotoring the next time I get to Columbus. It's the JCW black grill that you are getting. I understand that the pattern in the grill is slightly larger than the pattern in the MC bottom grill - so it doesn't match exactly, but is close enough. Note that you can get just the grill for about $50-$60 or the grill plus the black trim around it for about $110 or so. I plan to keep the chrome trim and just replace the 3 chrome bars in the middle. Will post pics when it's all done, but that might be few weeks. I have seen a pic on NAM of the grill replaced, but the chrome trim still in place.

I have heard that it's about a 15 minute job to swap the grills.

$5 for a can of black plasti-dip, or any other black spray paint. 10 minutes to remove stock grill. couple hours for paint to dry. replace grill. $5 job.

Pretty easy. Just be careful not to scratch the paint area under the grill. It's easy to do if not careful.

Or you can get the chrome and have it painted black like mine.

Oh my yes, see my first (and only!) scratch here ( my fault ).

Just an open bonnet wipedown following a wash and that lower bar (with a sliver of extra chrome ) just slid off across the bumper.

With the MINI Touch-Up AND the Langka Kit was able to complete a perfect repair
