Do you drive differently after watching The Italian Job?

Really had a blast last night re-watching The Italian Job ('03) with my 16 yr old son, who has only been in the MCS a couple of times. I've probably seen the movie 3 times, and enjoy it each time.

Now that I'm a Mini owner, sure, I think about that a bit more while watching it.

BUT the real question is: on the day following your watching the movie, did you drive differently? I sure did today.

I tend to be a bit more pugnacious at the wheel after watching either version. That only lasts a few days. Although, whenever I motor in Manhattan, I channel the movie, no matter how long ago I watched either flick.

if your asking if we drive down stairs, the answer is no.

You know what really makes me drive differently is after I've been racing go-karts at the track (these are karts that go 40mph+).

The gold slows me down, so I don't take it along

Great movie. It pushed me over the edge to buy a MINI. But my dealer forgot to put the gold in.

I have a MINI Clubman on order and literally just watched that movie last night! Made me yearn for the day when I can finally get my hands on the steering wheel.

I did a bit when the film first came out but I decided that was inappropriate so I stopped. Now I drive normal...it is a Mini after all.

I just bought a copy of The Italian Job from Amazon for $6.99 (with free shipping 'cause I got some audio CDs too)........ the DVD has lots of other interesting stuff on it including clips of the actors spending 3 weeks in driving school (they did most of their own driving), another clip about the 32 special built MINIs -- they wrecked some, cut up some for special shots, and converted 3 of them into electric because they weren't allowed to film combustion engined cars in the tunnels. Verrrrrrrrrry interesting, and sure worth the $7.

I drove differently because of my MINI .

So funny. I watched it last night too. I didnt drive any different today. With the exception of driving down a flight of stairs.

Yeah, I didn't get no stinking gold either. What's up with that?

I don't drive any differently; however, my wife certainly styles herself as Stella Bridger after watching it....

Both of them are in my Netflix queue and the Clubman is on order, so I'll have to report back -- but looking forward to receiving all three!
