Does anyone use the Pathway Lighting?

Well, I've read the manual (pretty vague) about the pathway lighting. I got it to work the first time by turning off the engine, flicking my stalk as if to pass, then the pathway lighting came on for approximately 40 seconds as I had it set.

I wanted them to stay on longer, so I changed it to 90s and now it refuses to work at all. Same scenario, but now when I flick the stalk, my brights come on and then go off. I changed it back to 40s and nothing.

Does anyone use this feature, and what are the steps you take? Possibly I'm missing something.... Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, I have continued to mess around with this and have found it works when I use the key fob. I have the Conv. Pkg. and when I don't use the fob to start the car it doesn't work.

Does that make sense to anyone?

I never use the key fob and it works on mine. After you reset it, did you turn the engine off and then try? In other words, it may only work after the engine was running with lights on and then shut down?

I have the comfort fob and never take it out of my pocket. If I shut off the car (lights on) and flick the stalk toward me the lights are on for 40 seconds. This works even if I go back to the car with no fob on me.

Yeah, I've tried that and every other way I can think of. I've even tried it standing on my head with my toes crossed and a finger up my nose. That didn't work either....

Finally went to the dealership today and they said when using the Conv. Pkg., with no fob in the ignition, you have to press the Start/Stop button twice. Once to turn off the engine and a second time to turn off the accessories. Did it that way and it works like a charm now.

I always wondered why my stereo would remain on until I locked the doors.... Learn something new everyday.

can someone explain what this is? I don't have the convenience package (so I am assuming it's a feature of that package only)?

Still, this sounds interesting, what does it do??

It works without the c-package.

After you turn off the car, pull the light stick towards you, and the head lights stay on for 40 seconds after you leave the car. Useful if you have a dark driveway. Not so much in the garage.

Also, you can change the time setting for how long they stay on through the computer settings.

As I recall you can set the car's lights to stay on a bit after you shut the engine off, maybe after you lock it. Gotta check the manual. I think I set mine to have no lights on when I shut it off (garage).
