I'd be getting in some sort of trouble using the BACK OFF portion of the light instead of the smiley face.

 

Same here. I've already pissed off some people by flicking on my rear fogs so that they think i'm slamming on my brakes. I hate tailgators.

You know something I noticed. I've been pulling into the same driveway for my shop for 12 years. EVERY day I put my turnsignal on at the same place (PLENTY of notice) to let people know I'm turning.

If I'm in my H2, they ALWAYS back off, slow down or change lanes... never fails.

If I'm in the mini, they crawl RIGHT up my wazoo like I decided just to turn or something and just locked up the brakes.

They've done it to me so many times, I've literally backed my car up to a window at the shop to make sure my taillights are even working.

Even at traffic lights, I've got cameras in my H2. When I look at the screen, I can see they've maintained some distance.

When I'm in the mini, I'll bet I couldn't squeeze inbetween the car behind me and the mini to open up the hatch.

I don't know why they insist on crawling up my butt with the mini..... drives me nuts.

I definately appreciate that.
I've been posting advices on various threads.
It HAS helped.

The gominigo third light blinker - BIG HELP.
Replacing all the rear bulbs with the super bright halogen ones.
Helped a lot. Working together, I've reduced the problem people
by 99%.

I'm working on a couple more projects too, for that remaining
1%.

Everybody should do this.

 

That thing would probably get me shot in the DC area. It is better to silently "yell" at the idiot drivers out there than to "egg them on". As you might imagine the Beltway "Parking Lot" around DC (Maryland/VA) is not a good place to do signals at people, they might jump out of the car and get in your face. Definitely in downtown DC I would not use this devise, besides getting me in lots of trouble (and possibly followed) it would more likely cause my vehicle to get broken into, so they could steal it and anything else I have laying around...including my beloved golf clubs!
