Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've been lurking for a few months, but have finally ordered my MINI so I wanted to check in. I ordered a lazer blue with white top and bonnet stripes R56 with lsd and the manual tranny. I am waiting on a production slot and am told it should be 10-11 weeks at this point until the car is completed. I test drove a clubman S and we quite impressed. I currently own a porsche 944 and the clubman would kill the porsche in handeling and acceleration...as well as reliability LOL. Well...just wanted to get aquainted.

Is it an 08 or 09?

 

LOL I don't know yet. I'll probobly have to wait until the end of this month when i get a production slot to know. I'll post as soon as I figure it out.

 

It's likely a MY09 as they start going into production in September. If you used the Configurator within the last couple of days to place the order then I believe you were also configuring MY09 options (sans the DTC which becomes available in December).

Bah, it's a quirky build year, better check with your MA. It's only a quick call away to find out for sure .

If, like the rest of us, y're getting a build slot at month's end or beg of next, it will be an 09.

I got a little more of the scoop today on my mini. It'll start production the first week in sept. it will be an 09. and I should expect delivery the first week in october it'll be a little later than i'd expected, but i'm just glad to know some of the specifics. i'll keep you posted.

 

Congrats and welcome to NAM. Considering its an '09, that isn't too long of a wait. When I picked my car up, the Finance Manager said folks buying now won't get delivery from their dealership until mid-December!

 

The Wife and I ordered her Oxi blue 08 on 07/07/08. It's due to get off the boat on 08/07/08. Not only is this our first Mini, it's our first New car. The whole thing with the tracking is killing us. Congrads
