Punch Carbon leather vs. Lounge Carbon leather

Is it really $500 more for Lounge Carbon leather which just gets rid of the thingy in the crotchal region, changes the pattern of stitching and adds the white pinstripe around the edge? Am I missing something? How is that worth $500?

Don't know about softer, but it may be due to a different grade of leather, plus the piping, and a more intricate stitching pattern involved in the Lounge Leather (not worth $500 however, especially if you're choosing black, IMO). We have the Punch Carbon Leather and are very happy with it, both in terms of softness/quality as well as comfort/coolness (the perforations really help with the "breathing" of the leather in the heat).

I have punch carbon leather and couldn't be happier! It's one of the best things that I added to my car.

Hmm, I think the JCW comes with piano black standard. I might be reading this wrong.

Anyways, I'll probably go with the Punch Carbon as it seems there isn't any real benefit of the Lounge Carbon.

I got the lounge leather in mine, but my exterior is Pepper White and the cream piping on the leather really goes well with the exterior. If I had a different exterior color, I'd probably just go with the Punch leather.

Any sharp pictures of both? I'd like to see them side-by-side, but it wouldn't matter much to me. I got the Punch Carbon, and I was satisfied by the touch-and-feel of a car on the lot (it wasn't for sale, it was someone's MINI, but they insisted that I feel it. I'm sorry!).

I have lounge leather, to me it's much more comfortable than punch leather.

More like a luxury car, where punch is more sporty...

seat panel streching in carbon punch leather

we have 9000 miles on our punch carbon leather and my only complaint is the streching in the seat panel. i weigh 175 lbs. so obesity is not a factor. a thorough Lexol treatment seems to have helped but i can only imagine how several years of use will exacerbate the streching. maybe a thicker seat panel would be better. but seat comfort and grip are great.
