R56 Cold Weather Package in Florida?
but consider the heated seats for long trips. i have a bad back and use them as a heating pad even when it is warm out. Don;t forget about the folding mirrors too. Very nice to have in parking lots and garages if there is tight spaces
NO WAY.....
I grew up in Ft Lauderdale & unless you plan on taking road trips to places thay get below 60, I would spend your $$ on better things!

I'm on the Gulf Coast in the panhandle and I have heated seats in both my cars. (And never had one go bad, BTW)
It does get real chilly early in the mornings/late at night, and you feel it, especially if your seats are not cloth.
I use it probably from late Oct - early March. Sometimes earlier/later depending on the extremes.
YMMV

Mine had that package installed already so I took it, but it wasn't something I wanted. But the first time I ran the cabrio top down in 30-degree weather I was glad to have the heated seats. The heated mirrors are always on (even when it's 95 degrees here) and the only way to turn them off is to unplug them. Washer jets are a waste too. I live in Tampa.
I live in San Diego and added the cold weather package at the insistence of my wife. She has it in her 2007 minivan (its the dog mobile -- four dogs).
I will admit her heated seats keep carry out pizza warm on the way home
We can get lows in the 30's and 40's here during winter, so I suppose they will be used in the MC too.

I got it, and I live in Fort Lauderdale. Why? Because the cold weather package gives you the motorized folding mirrors. And that is very handy for car washes, tight garages, etc.
My dealer explained it to me this way: The motorized mirrors by themselves are a $500 option. Or you can get the cold weather package, which includes the motorized mirrors and the heated seats, for the same $500.
So I got the package. And no, I don't anticipate ever even flipping the switch to heat up the seats.
Maybe someone can explain to me why motorized folding mirrors are only for "cold weather"? I don't get it.

I'm a native so anything colder than 65 degrees is the dead of winter. I have had the heaters on every car except this one and don't really miss it. The heater in the car is pretty strong so you could live without it. The heated seat was a nice way to relax from time-to-time, though
