Too much torque. .

The other day it was hot and sunny (95°F). At the light, I turned the TC off and gunned it. The front tires squealed in the 1st gear. I shifted to the 2nd and it was still screeeeching, I shifted up to 3rd and it didn't no more.

Hitting the rev limiter and going into 3rd still makes the DSC go blinky blinky. Everything's so sluggish when it's >100F outside, though

I'm not sure what the problem is?? How can you have too much torque? If you are gunning it you should expect the tires to squeal in 1st and 2nd. I've even been able to get mine to squeal in 3rd (not often but I have done it with the stock runflats)

Is there a such thing as too much torque? I'd think there'd be a problem with too little traction, but not too much torque.

There's his problem. 95 degrees at the NorthPole. He's driving on slushy ice. While it's snowing. Uphill. Against the wind. Both ways. While carrying an entire set of encylopedias (we didn't have the internet or an iPhone back then kid). Oh wait, that's about going to school, but he's still driving on slushy ice.
