A Little Lust Fulfillment Today

After a couple of years of thinking about it, and just about as long lurking here, I couldn't take it any longer and ordered my new toy today.

MCS, Laser Blue, Black Top and Bonnet Stripes, DSC, LSD, HiFi, 16 " Wheels, White Turn signals, Chrome Mirror Caps. MFS and Alloy on the inside.

Jarid at Rasmussen did the deal.

I am already dreaming of Fall trips into the Oregon back country.

Oh yea . . . .

Beautiful car... and the wait begins - it will seem like another 2 years . The great people on this site and MotoringFile will help you get through it. You're going to get very familiar with the little tune on the Owner's Lounge build status page.

Welcome! As for the Oregon back country roads I definitely hear where you're coming from. We're planning to move out to my other half's hometown of Seattle in the not too distant future and the anticipation of those drool inducing Pacific NorthWestern mountain twisties is killing me!

Old US Route 30 ... Rowena Loops

Be sure to check out the Rowena Loops between Mosier and The Dalles on old US 30 ... they make "twisty" seem like a straight line ... the overlook at the top of the Loops is worthy of several megabytes on your digital camera ... years ago, my grandfather owned virtually everything you can see from the overlook on the Oregon side ... alas ... the ranch is no longer in the family ... here's a link ... scroll down just a bit for the loops

I'm totally in the same boat. I just ordered today. I think I may have gone a bit overboard though;
MCS, dark silver, black top, automatic, convenience, cold weather, premium, navigation, lounge leather.

But I Thought . . .

the reason there was a sports button was to help harness up those extra turbo horses?

Just don't stop in The Dalles..... or even slow down. Every time someone does, they find themselves staying for at least a day longer than they planned, and it's usually due to something bad happening to their car!

It's one of those places, sort of like the Bermuda Triangle, but for road hazards. At least with this one, you come out alive and there is a repair shop... but there's only one repair shop.
