The first one involved finding the edge of adhesion in number 1 and hitting the median at about 60mph. That demolished the wheel

You may consider a MC dressed up. I test drove the MCS and it's a blast and has more power, but I went for milage and the MC still has plenty of pick-up to be fun. I got the JCW aero kit and just installed the HR springs for a lower appearance. It's a great car. I've had mine since December and would get another in a heart beat.

If you know that your going on a long trip and don't have runflats and are still worried about it; you could always purchase a donut (spare tire) and keep it in the boot.
Speaking of this...

Morristown MINI sells a MINI tire mobility set for 90$ plus shipping. Includes gloves, sealant, and a compressor.

Hrm. I'm kind of considering a JCW now. It seems decent on paper, at almost 40hp more than stock, plus some options that I'd been considering with the MCS. It's really hard to tell without having test driven one yet.

It seems those who are used to driving slower cars say the MCS is plenty fast. Others say the JCW is definitely worth the extra money, especially being that it keeps the car in warranty.

I don't plan to autocross ever and I'm undecided whether I'll put any mods that'd involve warranty voiding. If I went with an MCS, upgrading intake/exhaust/etc would be pretty tempting. I'm essentially just looking for something *fun* for my daily driver, as I've said.

Anyone have any thoughts that might help decide this?

I'm hoping to go test drive in the next few days.
