Currently getting about 32 MPG driving typical New England back roads. I guess it's a good thing, a local gas station posted gas prices of $4.09 per gallon for 93 octane. yuk.

I'm at 845 miles already (2 weeks of ownership) on the ODO and averaging 34.7mpg with 80% freeway driving and 91 octane gas.

MCS getting 36.7 mpg!

I have 244 miles on my first tank and I still have over half a tank! Of course 90% of my driving is interstate. OBC says I have a range of 300 mls and according to my calculations that is correct. So this tank should yield approx. 540. I was with my MA when he filled the tank with V-Power Shell 93 upon delivery. Range at that time was 21 mls. The tank held 14.14 gallons. If my calculations are correct and driving habits not change for the remainder of this tank I should be getting 36.7 mpg! Extremely pleased with this awesome Mini car.

I've resigned myself to getting only around 30 MPG. I've tried and tried and tried to be good and not get into the accelerator but it's just too damn much fun. Considering I'm getting double the MPG of my last car (RX-8), I'm happy with 30. Maybe I'll get better on extended trips all freeway and cruise control...but daily driving, 30 is good for me.
