Finally Ordered, Spec. Check

Hey Everyone,

Once again I wanted to thank you all for being so helpful and welcoming!

I went and test drove on Friday and fell in love
I moved up my timeline and ordered on the spot.

Specs:

Laser Blue
white R/M & bonnet stripes
Manual
Cold Weather Package
16" Bridge-Spoke w/ all seasons
LSD
Rear Fog Lights
Arm Rest
Leatherette
Pacific Blue Color Line
Interior Surface Checkered
Chrome Line interior

My MA threw in floormats, but said that was all she could do.

Thoughts? I'm a little nervous about the checkered interior at the moment, not sure if it will look right.

Ditch the checkerboard. It may hurt you during resell. Try and think about resell value when selecting options as you probably won't keep this forever.

I didn't see another standard option though, did I miss it? Or is this something that is usually the first thing to go?

SmokeM has a good point but the bottom line is what makes you happy. BTW welcome to the asylum. Saw you're in Northern Virginia - this area is ideal for motoring. My wife and I have found some incredible country roads cruising around in our MCSa. Enjoy the ride.

Looks like a fine build...the sooner you order the sooner you'll have it!

If you're talking about the stock checker dash that comes standard with the S, then it's actually very nice. That's what I got on mine and it's quite nice looking.

Your spec is almost exactly like mine.
I ordered with pacific blue leather/cloth seats, so the interior surface option (dash and door) was included--I picked fluid silver. Color line is also included with the leather/cloth seat option.

I have the checkered dash too and I really like it. At first, I was heavily leaning towards the Piano Black dash, but it seems like it would get really scratched and scuffed over time, so I stuck with the checkered dash and haven't regretted it since.

Oh that checkerboard. That's actually pretty subtle. I thought you ordered the black and white checkerboard.

Good to know. I just thought it was a bad image on the build module, kind of like how the leatherette looks better in person then on the site.

Emailed my MA this morning to add the DSC. I am hoping that it is still early enough in the process.

I love the subtle checkboard dash -- very MINI!

I have it and love it.

I would suggest the anthracite headliner (black interior roof)...makes the interior all come together IMHO...but to each their own
