I was backing out of my parking spot last night and a very large concrete pillar that i swear wasn't there before suddenly appeared....

I'm going to need a new passenger door on my 2007 cooper (non s). Has anyone been there? What does this involve? price?

How bad is it? If it isn't horrible, a good body shop should be able to pop the dent back out, smooth out the scratches and repaint.

 

Yeah the last thing you wanna do is replace a door on a 2007+ Mini. Find a great body shop.

 

Can you take a picture of the damage? So we can see what you are talking about and how bad it is?

Anything can be fixed!

 

Is it the skin that needs replaced or the whole door?

 

A semi truck wheel glide my door before...and only the door skin needs to replace...went to a body shop and they order the part through the mini dealer i suppose...with labour and door skin...$1400 CAD ..hmmm i think it will be cheaper if u order ur own parts...check out http://www.bimmerspecialist.com/ and compare the price with ur dealer...up here in Canada...a lot of the stuff is over priced....

The scariest part for me is how that bottom right corner is bent in. Additionally at the top of the image you can see how the chrome got smashed in by the mirror. the mirror cap got scuffed when it hit the black plastic that goes from the roof to the hood (a frame?) and that black plastic got scuffed by the mirror.

Does anyone have recommendations for a body shop in los angeles?

That is very minor damage, looks worse than what it is, that door is 100% fixable.

You should see what I did to my wifes 2 week old bimmer and had it fixed, before she saw it. (she was away for a week Rear quarter panel was crushed but fixed for $400 with paint.
