My adventure kit just came in!
Took delivery on 3/17, kit arrived May 1.

I took a good long while to read it in its entirety!

I ordered my Mini 12/31/07, picked it up 2/21/08 and just this week received the adventure kit. Nothing else, ever.

But I did enjoy the kit and read it all. Now I'm looking for an ad so I can check out the secret messages (if they exist). I think its cool that they actually sent something at all. What other car manufacturer does anything once you've given them your $$$? None I've ever experienced.

Besides a couple of pens and t-shirts when I drove off...I just received a Pen with a shifter ball on top that goes into a memo pad type holder...very cool.

I got a few goodies mailed from MINI--pens, diary, antenna ball. Stuff like that. No cookies, golf shirt, or condoms.

Condoms???

All I gotafter purchase was poor customer service from my local, exclusive dealer, yea!

No, really, I did get the Adventure Kit but haven't used anything in it. Neat to get though...

I always carry a notebook in my purse--you never know when you'll need it to write down directions, a grocery list, insurance details after the wreck... No, not the last one, please!

At any rate, I changed out the notebook I had been carrying and will now use the MINI book. Lots heavier, but oh, so much more chic! (I will be sure to wave it at any non-MINI driver I meet...)

That makes more sense. For a while I was wondering why MINI owners keep bringing up their mothers in their posts.

Motored off in my new Mini on Saturday (5/10). At time of delivery I received:
Two key rings - ss diamond shape, Mini Logo front, dealer info laser etch back.
Pen - ballpoint...<sigh> would have preferred a proper fountain pen
Floormats - carpeted.

I'll check in if/when I receive an Adventure/Motoring Kit.

Ditto on our delivery gifts. You can expect to wait about 6-8 weeks for it to arrive...

I guess that's what they're called...they replace one lugnut on each wheel and in the event someone were to want to steal your rims, they wouldn't be able to get the last lugnut off without the proper "key".

Just returned from 11 days in Italy, France, and Monaco, and I used my MINI diary all the way through. We drove in the mountains in an Alfa 159 (about the size of a 5-series BMW). Really happy to have it, except that the binding didn't hold up well.
