have fun waiting the next few weeks... your car will only be a few days younger than mine!

almost the same thing... cept minus the spoke and add xenons...

i personally didnt feel like upgrading the wheels because i hope to switch out the stock 17 when i get the money... also wanted sport stripes but the dealer wouldnt "exchange" the bonnet to sports for free... do i hear a aftermarket?

This is bad. You've made a serious mistake. You are now vulnerable to an obsession that will take over your life. You will enjoy driving, washing your car, and adding mods. These things should never be fun. They are meant to be a part of everyday drudgery. Enjoying them is just wrong.

Idiot!!

Bad decision all around. But we are here to help. I happen to run a disposal service for fun cars. I'll PM you with my address so that you can drop it off. I'll even let you use my pen to sign the title over.

You now have a sickness you will never be able to cure, it will cause you to spend every free moment on NAM where you will discover a new way to spend money you don't have

Nothing is better

And as you can see, we have absolutely no sense of humor about it.

Can another newbie join in the fun here?

I also ordered the Sports Package with SPOKE WHEELS. After some digging here in NAM they are apparently heavy wheels that you may want to swipe out for lighter ones down the road (along with buying regular tires + tire kit/spare after your harsh riding run-flats wear out). But as an OEM set you could've done much worse, especially compared to other car manufacturers *yawn*. Personally I had a tough time between crown spoke and web spoke, but decided on the crown spokes as they look "sportier" to me (whatever that means) and were cheaper as well (damn budget).

Very sound choice with LSD. And honestly, color-wise, it's all good. Walking through the dealer lot I did not see one bad color combination (and no this isn't an over-enthused newbie rant). I personally went for DS/B w/ Blk bonnet stripes (man there are some sick looking DS/B Minis here BTW), but CR/B is super nice too.

Congrats

Congrats!

Another newbie here. I just ordered my MCS on Saturday.

I'm getting a PW/B, Bonnet Stripes, Cold Weather & Premium Packages, DSC, LSD, Rear Fogs, Manual Transmission, 16" Bridge Spoke Wheels, Redwood Lounge Leather, Chrome & Piano Black Interior, Center Arm Rest, and MFSW.

Now we wait for 6-8 weeks mulling over our choices.

Congrats on ordering a new mini. I have been driving my mini for four whole days.

Based on my long history, I can say you are in big trouble. I thought once I received my MCS I would relax a little. Nope - In four days I have spent 475 miles of quality time with my new mini.

Its effecting my work and I find all social contact with humons happens only if they get in my car.

Good luck, the waiting may be tuff but it is well worth it and it will change your life when you finaly get behind the wheel.

Cheers!

4 days of ownership here too, about 400 miles on the odo. We (mostly I ) dreamt about ownership for about 4 years. Congratulations.

You're in for it now!!!

Not only will you become a MINIac, you are soon to be addicted to this thing called NAM. Better just tap the vein, because you'll be on NAM day and night.

Like me, you'll be posting on NAM while you should be doing work (at work). Like me, you will neglect your wife and children when at home, just so you can post on NAM.

It's a sickness, but it feels so good...

TRADING MY 07 VETTE FOR SILVER MINI COOPER S

Wassup gang?!!
I placed my order in February 08 and I'm trading my 07 Vette for it. Crazy eh?! Not at all. I remember how fun it was to drive my M coupe on those twisty roads and can't wait to do it again in my MINI. Life is not as fun going in a straight line. Now I just have to wait until April to get it. Argh!!!

Having this car makes it a joy to get up in the morning, knowing you'll get to drive it to work. It's THAT much fun...no embellishment either. This, coming from someone who used to own an RX-8 (which was only half as fun as my MINI).

Welcome Noraa!

I just took delivery of my MCS LAST NIGHT! It's so awesome. I had to wait exactly 46 days since my date of order, which is what i was originally told.

And yes, even though i'm new to the mini world too - i'm quickly noticing that it becomes an easy obsession. I have already joined my local MINI club and have high hopes of doing a few runs soon! =)

I absolutely LOVE my Mini!
