How much did you pay for your oil filter?

So i just got off the phone with the Tate Mini parts department, and they told me that the oil filter costs $25!! thats sounds pretty high to me. are all of you guys really paying that? i just cant see you guys spending $25 on oil and $25 on a filter and changing your oil so often.

So my question is, how much did everyone pay? and if you didn't get the OEM filter, which did you get and how much did you pay?

Thanks for your help.

EDIT: I just checked minspeed and minimania and found their prices to be much better, but any help would still be greatly appreciated.

For about $25, you can buy two OEM oil filters from WayMotorWorks. The $25 includes shipping. See this link: http://www.waymotorworks.com/product...cat=343&page=1

slighty O/T but I did my first oil change yesterday, no spilled oil, no mishaps. I was quite proud of myself when I was done.

I'm guessing because of the weight, you wouldn't ship MINI oil?

What are you all finding for the price of MINI/BMW oil? My dealer is charging $6.00 & tax.

About $10 from Classic MINI (NAM sponsor), but then there's an additional 20% discount if you mention NAM. I just ordered all my new Clubman accessories: carpet floor mats, rubber floor mats, wheel locks, oil filters, all at 20% off list. My dealer wanted full list for the floor mats, and $20 to install (!). I said thanks but no thanks, and called Jayson at Classic MINI.
By the way, any oil filter price that's over $10 - $12 is a ripoff, plain and simple.

I just talked to Jayson at Classic MINI as well, I ordered 4 oil filters, $9.70 each then take off 20% for the NAM discount - makes it much cheaper than my local dealership, even with having them shipped.

Just orderd two filters from Classic MINI. I gotta get my oil changed asap. I have 14k on my car right now have had it since July 24 2007, and it still says 8k left before oil change! Not good.

Quick question though. When I do change my oil next week I (DON'T) want to reset the computer correct? Because I WANT to get my "free" oil chnage from MINI once the computer determines so right?

Just checked Mini of Nashville and they want $24.63 for the filter. Oil was $6.00 a quart. Not a bad price for the oil, but a bit high for the filter.

A bit high, how about 300% too high!

Classic MINI will sell you filters for less than $9 each if you mention NAM.

You can buy three for about the price of one from that other dealer.

Classic MINI is a NAM vendor, you can see their forum in the vendors section.
