Good Gift For A New Owner?
What would be a good gift for a new Mini owner? Not more than $100 and not performance related.
Thanks,

I totally agree with the book on Mini/MINI history. I would also suggest membership in the local club.

A package of detailing supplies would be a great gift. Washing the MINI is second only to driving as a favorite way to spend time.

Don't know what there specs are, but how about a 2GB i pod shuffle and aux port connector?? That would be about 85. With the new 2GB shuffle I may buy one for the mini. Perfect size to load up music and stuff in the cubby area.

If you're not sure if the new owner wants any aesthetic mods (boot stripes, wheel center caps, redline custom shift boot... would all make great gifts), then I would go along with jyarrow and recommend detailing supplies.
www.detailersparadise.com
...has some bundled packages in your price range, one just below, one just above (if you can swing it, well worth the $140).

A smart rechargeable flashlight to fit in the cig lighter socket might be appreciated. (They're useful and aren't costly.)

An aluminum short antenna to replace the OEM RC car looking one.
If the new Mini front bumper is not drilled, get a no drilled hole front license plate holder.
If the front bumper is drilled, get a customized European plate.

Like everyone else, I'd suggest Mini apparel (either from MiniUSA.com or there are some really fun Mini shirts at cafepress.com), a book on the history of the Mini, detailing supplies, or a gas card. The iPod idea was good too.

A small battery-powered compressor and a digital tire gauge. Maybe a patch kit. (All assuming run flats...)
