R56 turbo timer
You could always wire a universal one although turbo timers are usually useless you plan to run up to full boost and then turn off your car immediately. Letting your car Idle for 20 sec after you boost will save you a $100
Water pump and fan will continue to run after shut down depending on how hard you drove the car. Nothing to worry about.
There is a pump, put your head up next to the scoop after you shut the car off and you can hear is running.

The only time you would need a turbo timer is when your turbo is at peak temp and your engine turns off stopping the flow of oil through the bearings. The temp of the turbo boils the oil and traps hot gas in the exhaust manifold causing premature turbo wear and sometimes damage. If you simply let the car idle for a few seconds or drive without boosting for a minute before the car shuts off you should be perfectly safe unless you are running a super high amount of boost, an enormous turbo or really rich.
With my car that is running a super high A/F ratio and high amounts of boost, I make sure I dont spool up after I enter my neighborhood or about 30 sec before I park. I recommend investing the $ into something more useful.

I had the same question as you once I got my MINI and had my boyfriend and all car nerd friends telling me I had to let the car sit for a minute or so (or to get a turbo timer). After doing some research, yes it seems there is no need....but out of being OCD I still let my car 'cool down' once I've parked for a minute or two before shutting down. Overkill? Maybe...but it at least makes me feel better after running her hard.
Many threads on this topic. Noone has ever put in a turbo timer that I've seen. With an electric oil pump running after shutdown, a turbo timer becomes nothing but extra weight and a component capable of failing.

Ok ok, now wait a minute cause im trying to get this straight. Let me know if what im saying is correct in the following sentences!
There is no turbo timer needed for the Cooper S R56 because there is an electric water pump that is flowing water through the turbo for quite some time after we shut our cars off. So if i push my mini hard on a hot day, there is no need when i return home to have the engine running for a min or so, i just turn of the engine as soon as i arrive and then this pump starts to do the thing and stops by its won when it feels like it should!
Am i correct?

correct!
That being said if I am pushing hard (like auto-x) I still wait a minute before I shut down. cheap insurance.
