It's the campaign for the new clubman. ZIG is the cooper, ZAG is the MCS..... on the 16th they add "ZUG" as the clubman.

your first post is to spoil to huge surprise?

although you got it wrong. zig is hardtop, zag is convert, and zug is clubman.

You think "zug" is a big surprise?

I think it is really going to be "Zorg."

I was sort of interested in the Clubman, but not if it zugs.

If there is a report of an advertising exec thrown out of the window of a NY skyscraper, it will be the guy that thought of "zug" for the Clubman.

Like trying to market a car named Nova in Spanish speaking countries, ziss really zugs.

Nah, it's a reference to that other "rolling" item--cigarette wrappers. Just kiddin,' of course. It's an unsual ad campaign, but certainly MINI-like.

Haven't seen it here. 'Course we don't have subways, nor much else for public transportation here in Houston.

Without a mention of MINI anywhere on the ads, how is someone who has no exposure to the brand supposed to make the connection and get an uncontrollable urge to go buy a MINI? Sorry, I don't get it and I think the above mentioned ad is just dumb. On the positive side, maybe sales will drop so that even Princeton MINI will begin to dicker on sales price.

They may be planning to make a "final" ad linking everything. Since they have a captive, repeat audience, there will probably be a connection then. MINI's ads are distinctive--black, with outlining, and a specific font.

It's not the first MINI advertising directed at those "in the know" that nobody else would get.

So, I guess that MINI is trying to tell us that the Clubman is a joke.
