CR/W With Sport Stripes Pic Request

Hi,

I have been reading this forum for a while and am an avid Mini fan for a long time. Not until recently have I convinced my wife to finally get one (but probably not until Fall ).

Now I know I will definitely get a red Cooper S but I am undecided whether to go for white or black roof. I am leaning toward black but my wife seems to prefer white.

I have seen plenty of CR/B in the forum (especially wtih the JCW kit, awesome! ) but not many of the CR/W especially with sport stripes. Could you guys help? Thanks.

I went w/ CR/B and white stripes...gave it a unique look I tied in w/ a checkered top.

Just go with what makes you happy.

One of these days I'll get off my butt and take some better pictures. But here's some from when I snuck into the dealer's late at night for a pre-pickup preview. (There's a few more in my gallery.)

(I've since had the stripe finished off on the boot handle.)

Thanks guys for the response. Oh, the possibilities!

The CR/W with full-blown JCW kit is SICK and I really love the look of it.

However, the look by Modnar is very interesting too (same as 07chilired, but with CR/W). Since we have around $25-26K to start. That might be very close to what we have in mind. CR/W with white sport stripes and white wheels. Thinking about adding the driving lights too (if installation isn't too expensive that is).

Thanks again for all your response. You Mini bunch here are awesome.

If you have more pix please share with me, the more the better .

I was seriously thinking about the driving lights after my order, and I still might add them later. They do look cool. But one ridiculous option (the Illuminated Door Sills) was enough to start. I ended up talking myself out of them because I'd never actually get to use them as lights. I've used my brights approximately twice in the last ten years.

A couple of caveats:

- Remember that the standard sport stripes don't cover the full bumper areas as shown above. All three of the cars pictured w/ sport stripes have all had another set put on as extensions to cover the extra bits. I love the way it looks with the extensions, but it looks cool w/o too. I just didn't want you to be shocked when you picked up your car and it didn't look like you were expecting.

- I was a bit worried about the white wheels being too much white, but I think they look awesome. When they're clean. When people say they get dirty fast, they're not kidding! After a few days of driving the front wheels are pretty much solid grey from the brake dust. But w/ a quick spray of quick detailer it wipes off pretty easily w/ a microfiber towel.

- You can always add the aero kit later, but if you do get it when you order, make sure to tell them to have it installed at the VDC. It's almost always cheaper that way (rather than having the dealer do it) unless you negotiate a deal on it.

I'll try to get some more pictures of the car in the daytime.

Look at my gallery pics--sounds like the exact setup you are asking about. I think the white roof looks great--obviously!

You don't say where you live, but consider that the white will be cooler in the summer if you live in any state that is warm.

This is my '04 with the white sunroof.. In the summer it is MUCH more tolerable than the black since it helps to keep the heat out.. White S-Lites are a pain to keep clean with the stock pads but aftermarket ceramics or similar are a big help.

Like the overall look of the CR/W. I also have a white and CF JCW wing that will be added soon as well.
