Former 1st Gen Driver moving to 2nd Gen!

Hey all.

I'm recently getting over the loss of my dearest 2004 MCS. I totaled the poor guy last wednesday and was a mess all last week. It was almost as bad as losing my Basset hound Penny when I was 13!

I just ordered my 2008 MCS in Chili Red /w white accents, Webspokes, LSD, Premium, Sport and Cold weather packages and JCW bodykit and Lounge/Piano/Anth Headliner.

Here are some pics of the little guy after the run in with the jeep.

And here is a picture of what happened to one of the motor mounts. Apparently all of them were ripped to shreds.

So now the wait begins for my 2008. Its supposedly arriving in 5-8 weeks. Its going to kill me waiting that long!

-Rich

You need a good "rebound" car while you wait to settle down with your '08 MCS.

Ouch, that hurts. But you'll be happy with the '08, especially with those specs

That is a really nice spec. Like the others have said at least you weren't hurt since cars are replaceable and people aren't

good luck with the new MINI

Hah! You are right, unfortunately the rebound is a big Chrysler 300 from Enterprise rent a car!

Its built for comfort, not for speed.

Unfortunately my estimated arrival date is 5-8 weeks out and I am going to have to argue with the insurance company to get them to extend my rental period!

Ooo, and a Checkmate edition, no less. My son-in-law has one, too. Sorry for your loss, but I think you'll be happy with the new little guy (gal?) when the boat arrives.

I think the jeep had 2 nice scrapes on the rear bumper, but it wasn't deformed. I went "under" the rear bumper.

Lol! I haven't laughed that hard in a while!

So my insurance company doesn't want to give me extended rental coverage past 10 days. I have to buy a POS to drive between now and whenever the MINI arrives

Let them know your neck is hurting and you will spending time at the doctor and chiropractor until they think you have reached maximum medical improvement. See if they remain adament about no rental....

Jerry
