Hey everyone this is my first post. my fiance and i have ordered our first mini and cannot wait till it gets here. we got a 2008 black on black mcs with all 4 packages, its wierd how they change the options that each package has on the 08. like we had to pay an extra 500 bucks to get the xenon lamps because they subtracted them from the new sports pkg. eah, oh well. we,ve been tracking it since we ordered and its on the freighter right now and should be at the dealer right around christmas. right about 4 weeks total, hopefully.

Sounds like you'll have a beautiful '08. Everyone here will be bugging for pics so have that camera charged and ready to go.

 

Congrats! 4 week wait is nothing.

 

The MA at my local dealership said that they wouldn't have the '08s on the lot 'til February. Are they showing up before then for some dealers?

 

My '08 is on the boat and should be here before New Year's Eve. Not sure about regular dealer stock.

 

08's Hardtop should be hitting at the end of December. 08 Clubmans will be launched feb 17th.

We as MA's were told Feb for Hardtops. but all of a sudden that changed, go figure. If you ordere one then it will be here quite quickly, def. before Feb.

FYI

 

Since you are an MA, maybe you've heard something about the USB port and driver's side auto-up also? I haven't been able to find an definite answer. Is the USB coming on all '08s with bluetooth? Is auto-up delayed? Sorry that this is a little off-topic, but I'm thinking others that are going to get their '08s soon might want to know this too.

Those are not going to be on the American cars.

 

I haven't even had mine a week yet all i can tell you will not be disappointed. The things I was excited about become second to the new cool things you'll discover once you get it. For me, it was a shift in focus from the outside elements (color, graphics, lighting, etc) and you'll be more into the cockpit details. You'll become attuned to the thoughtful design of every detail which enhances the driving experience. of course it helps if your old ride was a 98 honda... I took an immense leap forward in time!

TurboBlu/ Is that true? because from a local dealership (west coast) saying that wait time to special order a MINI is about 8 months. He emailed me like that. I hope it is a typo.
