R56 MC "Stock" Support Group

I'm a Mini Cooper owner and my car is fully stock.

Basically stock with a "few" accessories (i.e. portable GPS, radar detector). No real mods, but a new intake, exhaust, and rear sway bar is tempting.

You do realize that MINIs require mods. It is one of the laws of nature.

How can MCa, Nav, premium, DSC, etc. be 'fully stock'. In that case my BRG MC is also stock, but it has H-Fi, DSC, sport seats, cold weather package, oak interior, MFSW. I thought 'stock' meant no options.

I do have an xm-roady hooked into my aux port, does that mean I'm not 'stock' anymore.

You guys are kinda lucky, all stock. I drove one as a loaner, and while I wasn't a fan of the aesthetics of that car, I think it would be a blast to mod. You have a brand new Mini as a blank canvas. Everything's mechanical which means that it will probably still work perfectly in 10 years. Which means that if you're super good to it - in 15 you could still be driving a mint MC, totally personalized.

Maybe this should have just been called the "Non MCS Support Group". I think us non-S owners are in the minority around here.

You need to post a pic of your MINI SteelersFan. Have you played with all the different ways to use the auto trans yet?

Here's a post I made with a couple of pics. I LOVE my R90-16" wheels!

Yeah, nice wheels. Not what you normally see on a 56. But shouldn't you have gotten the Mellow Yellow as it's closer to the Steelers' gold?

Thanks. Yeah, that was one of the other color schemes I considered. The LiB won out though. It just "pops" more. BTW, PW/B was also on my list. Very nice!

Tried sneaking an "Actual Size" decal on ours, but since it's my wife's car, she wouldn't hear of it. Yes, I'm Mini-whipped!

Funny, that's the only decal my wife seems to like!

My car is stock right now since I spent all my money buying my car. I do want to get a British front plate for it although I'm still not sure how to hook it up correctly. Other then that I want to pay the car off before I start doing anything.

Gotta drill the bumper. It's why my County Donegal plate is still in the trunk.

Once you drill the holes you can just screw in the bracket right? Or do you have to attach something behind the bumper to hold in the bolts?

No they are self tapping. Nothing behind the bumper.

I'm waiting for my "Actual Size" sticker to arrive.

I think a "Non MCS Club" is a great idea. I took my husband to the local MINI club's Christmas party last weekend. As we were leaving he noticed that almost all the other MINIs were S's. Personally, I like being different.

Ya it seems like every Mini I see is the S model. You are right though, being different is actually kind of cool.

I wonder what the real ratio of S to non-S really is.

SBaker I think you have the first set of white Bridge Spokes I've seen. They look great with the white roof.
