How crowded is your garage?

Just finished setting up the garage for the winter. I don't plan on taking my MCS out while there is salt on the roads.

Very nice. Tight, but nice. Maybe you could just hang the MINI from the rafters?

Plenty of more room in there !! You could fit a few paper clips in there still, or maybe even a pencil or two.

Love it!!! It gives me some ideas. My husband may be buying a Mini and we will need to get 2 Minis and a Honda Minivan in our garage.

Unless you have a three car garage, or a garage that is very deep like rockridge's, it is UNpossible.

If you have the head room you could use a lift to stack 2 Minis on top of each other.

Looks like you have a square tail Triumph Spitfire from the hardtop hanging on the wall. Where's it parked?

I have a 1979 Triump Spitfire that I keep in storage for the winter. It is easier to move around as a rag top, so I keep the factory hardtop on the wall.

There is plenty of room on the far side of my wifes Volvo, and there is about 2 feet of space between the mini and her car, so you can walk through there as well.

That's exactly how I store me Z3 for the winter. Other cars, in the same garage, daily drivers: MCS and X3. Been doing it for 7 years.

My garage already has two cars in it, my MINI stays in the driveway. It's the only car with a butt-warmer, heated washer, heated mirrors, and snow tires. Plus, I leave for work around 5:45am.

Here is a picture of the summer config. Slightly more room. Also, note all the skateboards. They are my additional summer means of transportation.

So the Mini just sits there all year long guarding the trashcans (lol)? How many point turns does it take to get it out of there/back in there? I just reconfigured my garage to include my wife's Mazda3. It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate in a 2 car garage with 2 huge cabinets that only has one car in it!
Somebody mentioned stacking 2 Minis on top of each other. Once in New Orleans I saw a gizmo behind a building that does that. You drive car #1 onto its platform and raise it up like a glorified forklift and park car #2 underneath. Nice idea until the power goes out and you need car #2.

That's what we do too but it is the Miata that goes in cross wise and stays in for the winter. We drive the MINIs. Makes a 2 car garage a 3 car garage.

My Miata stays inside for the winter also. My wife drives her Mini. We have a three car garage on top, which I'm sure I could get 2 Mini's, 2 Miata's, and full-sized pickup. Our lower garage has 5 motorcycles, 2 scooters, and an ATV with a plow. We love to have fun!

Something like this. Since it's hydraulic it might not need any power to lower the car (could be wrong though I don't have one).

I would too! Nigel has to sleep outside under the clouds and stars, rain or shine.

You do need power. The lift has safety locks and you have to raise the lift a few inches before it can lower. Without power then you can't lower it.

We have one in the shop and it is GREAT!

In my garage there is a bandsaw, table saw, belt sander, $2,000+ worth of hardwood, several telescopes & mounts, and somewhere in there is an MCS. My poor Integra is sleeping outside under a blanket.
