Satellite Radio Self-install?

Hi all.
My car hasn't arrived yet but I'm pretty sure the antenna has a satellite module in it somewhere right? I currently subscribe to XM and I want to be able to hook it up to the existing antenna. So here are my questions.

1. Does a stock mini (without Satellite radio) have a satellite antenna in the FM antenna tower?
2. If Q1 is yes, where does this wire end up?
3. Can I just hook the Sirius antenna to an XM receiver, or do I need an adapter of some sort?

Thanks in advance...

It is built into the top antenna but as far as anything else, i don't know.

The previous gen had to have the tacky siruis antenna attached somewhere while if you had NAV you had a different antenna. Now no matter what you keep the same antenna, so everything is ready and prewired to an extent. I don't think there is a GPS reciever in there all the time but everything else is built in.

The stock antenna has a sat antenna in it. The wire terminates under the front passenger seat. You can locate it by sliding the seat back all the way, finding the slit in the carpet and fishing the wire bundle out with a finger.
You need a SMB cable to extend this lead to your mounting area.
There are a couple of post on the "navigation and audio" page in the 2nd generation section Like here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=115680

I use a Sportscaster unit (with remote). The color matches the dash lights, is easy to read, and mounts solidly in the cubbyhole at the base of the stack. I used an "add-a-circiut" and 2 90 degree adapters to hide the aux wire feed. Neat, slick and effective.

Good luck. Hope your wait isn't over long.
