I believe if you search there are threads about aftermarket sunroof options. I seriously doubt swapping roofs would be feasible.

here it is: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...market+sunroof

well i guess it does look like you can pop 'em off, but it'd be way easier/cheaper to just find the car w/ the sunroof if you really want it

the oem accessory canvas roof looks really cool; i've seen it in person. but i dunno if they have it for r56 yet

Economically speaking, it wouldn't make much sense to swap roofs.

But can it be done ? Sure. Body shops today can segment entire front ends of vehicles from the cowl forward. And you'd never know it was done. Roof... piece of cake. Relatively speaking.

Keep searching until you find what you are looking for. You'd have to get that car very very cheap in order to not have the cost of a roofectomy kill you.

If you feel the panorama roof is a neccesity than i suggest you wait until you find a mini with one. If patience is not your strong point ;like others said you can go with an aftermarket sunroof or perhaps getting a used (salvage yard) panoramic sunroof. Like others have said it wouldn't be all that cost effective. Although cutting a hole in your roof and putting in a piece of glass is entirely possible, there is a pretty good chance of having leaks . A used panoramic sunroof would look stock but remember the motors have probably been sitting outside for months and may not work or may not work well for long.
