I guess I could name it Minnie Driver, but the car doesn't really seem feminine.

Hmm.
Mine too has alot of dents and rock chips thus "Chippy McDent "

How about Maverick? Rough and Tumble, a little worn, but still good looking.

I'm from California. A "Woody" is for hauling surfboards, but it's an interesting idea. Perhaps something related to hardwoods or *****...

According to Babel Fish, the German for "Exotic Hardwoods" is "Exotische Harthölzer" and "gear shift ****" is "Gangschaltungdrehknopf". Hmm

Is your sound-proofing and back-seat conversion done? Maybe I missed a post? An intriguing project: I'd like to know more.
Yes, I posted a thread in the Interior/Exterior Mods forum.

Mine is Zoomer - same as my screenname. I originally didn't have a name for the MINI, but after about a year and a half, I've decided it's a total Zoomer, so the name just hit me and stuck as the car's name..

Wilhelmina, Wonder Mini

Her VIN# starts WMWM...after placing the order, this was all I had of her other than my owner's lounge mock-up, so while waiting anxiously for her to arrive, this name stuck.

I like the name because Wilhelmina means willful or determined guardian, protector. This is fitting when you are flying down the freeway at 80mph.

I call her Mina the Mini for short.

Mine is "Minion". Of the several definitions for Minion the two most relevant are:

1) One who does you bidding.
(What's more responsive to your wishes than a Mini?)
2) A dear or loved one.
(And we all love our Minis!)

Here's her Count Vlad Dracula:

My first R56 was The Flying Squirrel (may she rest in peace):

And the R56 that I have now is Arthur, King of the Britons:

Husband loves all the Bond movies and thought MONEY PENNY was just right for an English car. The name stuck and her tag says "MONYPENY". We just found out that the original Money Penny just passed away. May her memory live on through my much loved Chilly Red '07' Mini.

Name

Kirby is my MINI's name. I've always liked the name(Emilio Estevez' character in the 80's flick St. Elmo's fire).I'm really dating myself. Anyway, I was going to name any child I had Kirby but my dad said that was the name of a vacuum cleaner. So the MINI it is. Middle name is Kuromi it's an evil rabbit character in the Hello Kitty series very cute but mischievous.
