That's just stupid. Maybe if they took off the 2 extra sets of wheels it would lower the price a bit

And either the pictures are of a completely different car, or that spec list is wrong, wrong wrong. The wood MSFW, and the brushed alloy interior surface are listed, neither of which are in that interior shot.

If it's right, the comment section on the page should read "Ouch!"

It DOES have sexy *** painted arches though. That's gotta be worth at least $15,000, easy.

The gouge factor has just hit a new time high. $50K, a base MCS is 20K is way out of hand when you start adding options, but let’s take a look at some of the special features this one has…

Headlights… Let’s get real kiddies.

Date/Time... A clock, how novel!

Doors Unlock... I hope so!!

Car Jack... Oh wow, I’m impressed.

Luggage Compartment… Not many cars have that so you’ll be one lucky SOB.

Automatic Window Lowering When Door Is Opened… All MINIs do this!!!

Audio Controls… Wow it has a radio.

6-speed Manual Getrag Transmission W/Od ... Never herd of any 6 speed overdrive yet, but I’m sure this is the prototype.

Hood Scoop Air Intake… It’s a 2007 Turbo and air intake means nothing to a turbo.

Leatherette Front Sport Bucket Seats-inc: Manual Seat Adjustment... On top of 50K you only get Leatherette seats.

Oh here’s a 50K KAR!!!

I saw that car in their showroom the last time I was there back in August. I had my ipod with me that day so I was playing around with the adapter.

AFIAK, they had two $50K MINIs before. A white and a silver one.

Here's the silver one in the background. This was taken right after my car was taken off the truck back in July 2005.

I guess people actually buy them so Prestige just loads them up and sell 'em.

That is their fully-equipped JCW car... i think it was like a $30k Cooper S that they put all the JCW stuff on-- aero kit, tuning kit, wheels, suspension, rear spoiler, brakes, etc. $49,995 though? that stuff is nice, but not worth an extra $20k!!! Mid/upper 30's maybe with all the JCW trimmings, but $50k? yikes!!!

they listed it 2 or 3 times on ebay recently and couldn't get anywhere near their reserve.

I saw the red Prestige $50k mini when we went to look at an '06 PW JCS. The '06 car was misadvertised on ebay, not having several elements incl JCW suspension (they had to put it up on the lift at our request, and bingo, no JCW susp.), no 18" wheels, no sunroof, more. Even tho I had no interest in the car, I bugged them for 5 days before they changed the auction. No reduction in price tho. MA Nancy was very nice, but the management guy who came out to talk about the missing stuff was disrespectful. You'd think that they would cut some slack for us as we drove 2.5 hrs to get there only to find a virtually different mini.

We just ordered a new MCS PW/B with JCW kits from New Country in Hartford, CT. Did 90% of the work by phone and email, MA Bryan. No hassles, no pressure, met the lowest competitive quote for the accessories. Excited! Best, H
