So many problems with 07 MCS

Why are there so many problems with the 07's? I was reading thru all the problems people are having, reading all that makes me not want the car anymore, do you think if they spend a little more time building the cars, it would elimate alot of problems? I mean after it's built it goes thru another check when it gets to us shores right? And they still can't see anything wrong? How many of you owners with 07's have not had 1 thing go wrong with your car?

The internet amplifies any issue. Like any 1st year car the 07's will have issues but I'm not sure they are anywhere near as commonplace as NAM etc would have us believe.

Not too many people post "Hey, everyone, I didn't have any problems today. Can you help?"

Forums for any 'product' attract mainly people with issues, as they are centralized place to get help and advice. What you do not get visibility into is the silent majority that are not posting because, well, there is nothing to post about! It's normal on the internet and not (necessarily) indicitive of widespread problems. For instance, do you watch any evening or cable news programs? If you tried to take that as an accurate portrayal or cross-section of everything that is going on in the World, you'd think that everyone on the planet was dying in a war / hurricane / earthquake / plane crash / shark attack, when in reality billions of people lived a normal day that day.

Actually I didn't pick up on all that many problems overall, and the OP's post sounded to me more like a flashback to '03 w/ all the stumble, yo-yo, and cracked windshields. Most of the R56 MCSs I know of are running great!!!

I have no problems with mine. I agree this site would be the place to bring up issues with the car to compare notes with others. Reading all the threads it seems to me the predominence of thought is that '07 owners are crazy about their cars. That wouldn't be if they were dealing with problems at every turn. Love my car

With the exception of getting rear ended, Percy has had no issues.

I like the analogy of the evening news. How many times has Dan Rather said "Nothing to report today"?

perfect...

I've had 2X R53 MCS Works w/ no problems and now with my R56 and 10K miles it's smooth, fun & problem free driving. Excellent car! Almost perfect in fact (moon roof wind noise being the exception.) Sorry for those who may be having issues but lot's of us are not.
cheers

No major problems, 2200+ miles. I do get a little weep from the rear wiper, nothing a little wash and hydro will not fix. I will mention it the next time I am at the dealer at my pre-winter oil change.

April build. Two minor problems. I had more teething problems with a 1990 Acura Integra, and I'm still driving it almost 18 years later.

The color of the scoop on my MCS didn't quite match the hood color. The body shop thought that the hood might have been repainted at the VDC due to shipment damage.

Voice Actuation doesn't work. Needs a software update. Haven't gotten around to having it done. Probably wont use it when it does work.

Picked up in May, now have 10,400 miles. Only thing to go wrong was a flat tire because some idiot dropped a box of wood screws in the road. My R56 is problem free and totally badass. Best thing I've ever purchased!
