Yup, that's what it needed. Got to have some checks somewhere else for it to make sense, visually.

I saw the inside rearview checked here on the forum PW car, looked nice, I emailed the owner to find out where they bought it - never got an answer, I will check my emails and let you know so you can see it... do you know where to buy them?? I did check miniusa.com but did not see them??

It's a matter of personal preference of course, but yellow with checks? Let's just say that is anyone ever builds a MINI taxi, I have an idea what it will look like!

Maybe the checkered rearview mirror cap would tie it up

Somewhere here on the board is a thread which describes how a guy, a dremel and a few minutes solved the fittment problem.

A dremel and a few minutes time. Be careful not to scratch the inside of the cover as that is where the image is.

Here is the thread.

Here is another vote for the mirror caps needing checkers somewhere else on the vehicle in order to pull them off. I have a co-worker who has a liquid yellow with the checkered mirror caps, and a checkered sunroof. The car looks better from above, where you can see the roof tying the whole thing in. It looks good from another car, when you cannot see the sunroof, but the mirrors look like they stick out.

Maybe checkered bonnet stripes?

Yep, needs more checkers!! Does anyone make a checkered bonnet scoop or graphic for bonnet scoop. I think you just need a bit in the front and back.

Looks like you got the same car as I did -- same color and same checkered mirrors. I love it. Actually, the checkered mirrors were a mistake. I wasn't supposed to get them. But, when the dealer pulled the car around for me I thought it was perfect. Tons of positive comments on the car and the color combo. Only my father-in-law thinks they are a little over the top. But, he's just seen pictures. He'll change his tune when he drives it.
