Pics of MC w/white wheels

Hello all. I put down my deposit on an MC and am just having a hell of a time deciding what color to get. I've always loved the look of white wheels on the Mini, so that's my only limitation. If there's an easier way to seach for pics in the gallery, just tell me how to do that? My wife is going nuts listening to me go back and forth through the color palette at least twice already.

Welcome to NAM and MINIdom. Always a decision to make, I say go white, if you don't care for it, get them powdercoated to a color you will like.

A second set of wheels is a nice first mod.

What are the details on your MC. Enjoy and drive safe when you get it.

Well, My wife can't drive the XB, so we've got to trade her in on an automatic. Above that I think the sport package is mandatory and the sunroof. I'm thinking the white signal lenses would really tie it all together. After digging around for pics, I think jmelrose's S has the look I'm looking for.

But......

I still haven't made up my mind on colors.

White wheels do look nice, although can be a pain to keep clean. If you go up to the top of the page, on the left hand side you will see 'gallery'...click on that, then when the page loads you will see a window for entering a search. You can then type what your heart desires to see...like 'white wheels'! Happy hunting to you, and let us know what you end up getting!

If you're sold on white wheels, go with a blue color, white top and mirrors, like his above. I saw one today in Denver and it looked great. There's a blue only for the MC (forget the name) that's killer.

Yeah, the lightning blue just really works well with the white. I thought about the oxygen blue and was almost sold until I saw one with a smurf in it. It just matched perfectly and it totally ruined it for me. I'd really like to see what nightfire red would look like...

I ordered white on mine. It's a great look. I plan on putting ceramic pads on it as soon as I get it. Hopefully someone will have some released by late october.

I have white wheels on my MC and had the OEM brake dust problems we are cursed with, so I changed my pads to EBC Green Stuff. They work fine for my Cooper, and the dusting has dropped off significantly. Other good pads to look at are the Hawk HPS or Hawk Ceramic series, as they also do wonders with cutting down the brake dust.

Damn that looks good! There are two DS with black around here, but I have never seen that color combo in person, I am impressed!
I thought about white wheels on my ELectric Blue, but went with silver...now I am thinking....

I do have a question regarding the brake dust tho...
going with a harder pad = less brake dust, right?
Sooooo, would that mean that a harder pad is wearing on your rotors more?
I know what a PITA it is to clean off, and would like not having to so often, but I also was wondering how much that would lessen the life of the rotors?
Anybody know anything about the wear issue?

White wheels look great on dark cars that have the white roof.
TireRack has a configurator of their own. You can plug in your car color and picture any of their wheels on it. Pretty darn cool device...

Thanks
i accually realized that the front tire always has more dust because of the bigger brakes maybee.. i know its hard to keep them clean but i love them when they are shiny and clean

Oxy Blue and White would be sweet. Don't worry about the smurf vision, it'll pass.

It's dreadful, I've been obsessed with the oxy blue and white combo for a few days now (ever since seeing ChrisBSU's), but I'm commited to getting an MCS.

I have been told that the front wheels have more brake dust on them because the front handles 70% of your braking.

White is good.

Brake dust is not.

Keep those wheels clean.

Some samples (sorry not MC but imagine the scoops are not there)-

Well. We pulled the trigger today. Our MC will be ....... BRG/White along with white signals to tie it all together. Unfortunately, our build date isn't until october. My plan is to switch brake pads as soon as possible and buy wheelshield. I've never been a big clean car person, but for some reason I think this one will be different. BTW, can someone tell me again which brake pad I need to be ordering? Something with as little dust as possible and still be good cold without going to a ceramic? Thanks,

Hawk brake pads are generally pretty good, with low dust. They can be slightly squealy if you are real light on the brakes coasting to a stop, but otherwise, a good daily driver.
