Does anyone have experience with Baton Rouge Mini

I was planning on purchasing a Mini from Mini of Baton Rouge, but to be honest, some of the service horror stories have me concerned. It seems that some dealerships are good and some are horrible when it comes to delivering quality service. I imagine this is probably true for most vehicles but I'd like to avoid bad service if I can.

So, with that in mind has anyone dealt with Mini of Baton Rouge and what were your experiences like? Thanks for the information.

Brian Harris MINI of Baton Rouge is a very good and reputable MINI dealership. Even though I live in Los Angeles, I drive my MINI cross-country every spring and have had her serviced at Brian Harris 3 or 4 times, and have a number of friends who have taken their Florida MINIs there, as well. The service department has been very professional and considerate of my needs each time I've been there. They've gotten my MINI in quickly and serviced promptly each time I've made an appointment with them. Don't let others' bad experiences with various MINI dealerships scare you off from getting one. Hope this helps.

That helps very much, thank you for your reply. I get back in town from my business trip on Wednesday night, I think I'll place my order Thursday.

Jebboy, I've purchased 2 mini's from Brian Harris and THey are awesome. THey have been going through some re structuring lately after Katrina and things are just now settling down with them but they will definatelly go the extra mile for you. Talk to Matt or Hedrick and tell them Collin sent ya. They'll take very good care of ya. If not let me know and i'll make a phone call or two. Good luck and let us know what you decide to get or if you have any questions about ordering.

Thanks for the reply. It's always good to hear additional positive reviews to reinforce expectations. I'll definately drop your name if it'll help as well, thanks Collin.

I've configured about 1000 cars via mini.com but what I've settled on for now is:

MC Lightning Blue
White Roof/Mirrors
Anthracite Header
Multifunction Wheel (Is this the only way to get cruise control?)
HiFi
English Oak
White Sport Stripes
Mini Illuminated Door Sills

I'm considering the Automatic Air and the outside cover since the Mini will likely be in the sun while at home.

I plan on picking up some after market stripes for the side. I'd like to add the stripes that sweep up and to the right, the top and bottom seperated by the word "MINI". I also am thinking of adding a racing number to the passenger side door. /shrug/ We'll see.

I am on the fence about the Auto Air. I wouldn't mind it die to the air quality concerns in the Cancer Alley area but are there any real numbers as to the air quality improvements the module adds?

Setting a particular temperature doesn't hold much allure for me, I'm mostly interested in the filtering portion.

Thanks.

Bought a MCa off the lot from them Saturday, 7/21. Great experience. Hedrick and Matt are super to deal with. Hedrick said that MINI is going to open about 20 smaller regional service centers over the next year. One of them is going to be about 5 miles from me. Yay!

The MFSW (multifunction steering wheel) is the only way to get cruise control.

Np at all. I have a lightning blue 07 with hifi, multifunction wheel and several other options. If you would like an extended test drive let me know. lol i'm sure we could get several other gsmers out there and have a fun test drive/ options decision day. hahaha I know if i had seen and driven an 07 before I ordered everything I would have added a few things and taken one or two things off of mine. Other than that I love the 07. I previously had an 05 and that car was my heart and soul but this one is quickly making up for my 05. lol Good luck and check out our poker run on Aug 11th. Were meeting at Brian Harris for 10am and are expecting over 40 mini's and 60+ people. I'm sure several of us will have open passanger seats and will need a co pilot so your more than welcome to join.
