Hello there all! New happy MCS owner
Hello everyone. I just picked up my 2007 Dark Grey/Black MCS 6sp with cold weather and LSD and could not be happier! Just wanted to say hi! This site is great as far as forums go (ive been hiding in the shadows for a few days). I just gave up my 2000 Audi A4 and love the MINI. :D I do have a question already though...where can i get the cord to connect my ipod to the input jack located inside the glove box?
Thanks and look forward to being part of the community

Great choice in name! http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...interface.html thats a link for the ipod integration. otherwise you can just plug in a 1/8" cable into the AUX input. Welcome to NAM
do i need to buy the whole kit? i was under the impression that there was a plug in the glove box that all i needed was a cord to the ipod...?
yea, as soon as i saw the car the name just came to me :D

there is an auxillary input in the center console that simply requires a cable like this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search
Congratulations, you did mean Dark Silver Metallic aka Grey
+5 for what all the above said. Pictures please!
I do like Grey (Dark Silver), great color choice. No, I'm not biased.

One more new owner...
We picked up a MC off the lot at Brian Harris MINI in Baton Rouge Saturday. It will be the missus' daily driver. We also have a classic ('73) Mini. It was so much fun that we had to have a new one.
The better half's car is Sparkling Silver with a black roof. I wanted the Pepper White one, but, hey it's her car right?
Does anyone know of a MINI owners group along the central Gulf Coast?

Do you have the iPod Integration option? If so, there should be a connector in the secret compartment above the glove box. I don't recall what connector that uses, but it might be USB.
If you didn't get the iPod Integration package, there are other options. If you just want to connect the audio, a simple stereo male-to-male mini headphone cord can be obtained from Radio Shlock, or ebay. If you want to connect he audio and power/charge the iPod at the same time, the Griffin TuneFlex AUX Flexible Charging Cradle works well. It plugs into the cigarette lighter outlet in front of the gear shift lever, and has a cord that plugs into the AUX port in the cubby at the bottom of the central console.
The flexible stalk isn't quite stiff enough to hold up the 60GB & 80GB iPods. It tends to sag a bit. I put some industrial Velcro on the side of the cradle and the center console to keep it in place.
