Financing - Interest Rates?
What kind of interest rates have people been getting when financing their new Mini's? I'm just curious. Thanks.

5.45% 60 months at Credit Union. MINI credit was going to be about a point to a point and a half above that

I was hoping Mini would be running some kind of special rates. My credit union is at 5.79% right now. I'll probably just go with them.

CU loan rates
I just financed at my CU for 60months at 6.49%, but they will then knock off 0.25 for direct payment. And this is a "mortgage-backed car loan" so the interest is deductable :-)

The prime rate hasn't changed in over 6 months. So whatever anyone got in the last 6 month you should be able to find, which is under 6% at alot of credit unions.

Like rebates, that's an incentive from carmakers that have a more difficult time selling their cars. Mini doesn't have that problem.

It's the same special deal that allows you to pay MSRP on the car itself. If you ask for the special deal, however, they raise the interest rate offering a point.

My dealer offered me 5.99% through Chase Auto Finance, and about a point higher through BMW financing.
Go with your credit union...

Credit Unions are your friend! I got 5.25% (good on loans 36 - 60 months) about 3 weeks ago.

My CU offered 5.99% for 60mo. Mini offered 6.24%. While close, I can direct deposit at my CU, as I also have a checking, savings, and credit card through them.
