Boot Privacy Cover

Hello all, this is my first post. I'll be expecting my new mini a week or two and wanted to know if a cover was available for the boot area when the seats are folded down.
I'm an avid golfer and I always keep my golf bag and push cart in the car. I want to be able to hide all my junk from curious eyes. I done a search and haven't found anything that would cover the entire boot and back seat area when the seats are down. Does anyone know of anything that would do the trick?

None available that I know of. I'm considering removing the back seats and making or getting something made to cover the area below the windows. One possibility would be getting a tonneau cover made. Another is to make something with ABS sheet. Haven't decided yet.

or

although both are more for protection and would not cover stuff in your boot....

Nice, but those go under the cargo in the back. We want something that goes over it to hide it.

Looks like the first one can be flopped over the cargo?

Like throwing a blanket over things, that would just show that there was stuff there and might not obscure what it is. A golf set might look pretty obvious under a sheet like that.

Sounds like there is a market for a yet non-existant product. There you go, vendors, you've been given an idea on a silver plater!

Yeah. There should be a roll-up screen that attaches to the inside end of the rear parcel shelf, which can be unfurled and attached to the back of the front seats or on the head rests. I can see that as a desirable option.

That's brilliant! I was trying to think of how to attach the cover w/out unsightly extra hardware. This may be the perfect solution. Way to think outside the box.

Thanks, but, I have to confess that my Mercedes C230 Coupe had that kind of thing, only it went from the back of the rear seats to the back of the hatch area.

as a follow up, do any of the other golfers know if a set of clubs will fit in the boot area with the back seats in normal upright position?

Does Ronco have a "Pocket Golfer" set?

+1 on the cargo cover. It could be mounted/attached under the existing boot cover, then unscrolled and attached to the front seat headrest via loops.
I'd buy that, Mr & Mrs Vendor!

Not unless you happen to use clubs designed for "little people".

I have an idea: On-line, you can order spring-loaded roll-up window shades, cut to any size you need. So, you can order one the width and length of the cargo area you want to cover. You can mount it just above or below the interior edge of the parcel shelf, using the brackets normally used for windows. On the edge of the shade that is normally the "bottom" you can attach a length of elastic. This way, you can pull the cover out and slip the elastic strap over the front seat headrests and, viola, the whole cargo area is covered. When you don't want to use it, just let it roll up. You can get the shades in a lot of colors, too.

Almost like a plastic window shade from Lowes, they even cut to width??

That is one nice thing about the "over priced" factory wind blocker in the convertible, it covers up part of the back seat, hides what is under it.

Not almost--- exactly. But, it doesn't have to be from Lowes.
