R56 I can't believe it...

Tigs, Mike, you kids need a bigger bed or fewer pillows.

Busy thread, 'truthiness', interesting concept, great picture, thanks Mike for the mention way down on the list.

Emily, I like your VW, I think my next door neighbor has that van in his driveway, his would look better if it had the flowers.

Gary, it's going to be a long eight weeks for your puppy, it's great she came through the procedure well. We have to give our babies all the love they need as they give to us so much.
So any news from your MA, is Deacon on the truck?

That's actually a Queen-size bed...I just like lots of decorative pillows.
Fortunately, Mike has accepted that "quirk" in me and tolerates having to toss them all onto the floor to sleep.
He's a great guy like that. I don't ask for too much...just don't make me give up all my pillows.
How was spidey hunting yesterday, Don? Did you wrangle up some bigguns?

Keep the pillows. No big spideys, just some huge webs that appear to be back today. So I guess I will have to get out the 'kill the spidey spray', which I hate to do since they do keep some of the other buggies in check.
no news, no word, no call, no Deacon
*hugs plushie....
soooon my precioussss..... verrry verrry soooon
Hear that, Shawn? Our support groupies are now labeling you as "cruel".
Dial our digits, man!! Where's the Deacmeister????? :impatient

Hmm...I wonder if the folks at the VDC need someone camped outside beating on a drum to set the tempo a bit faster.
Oh wait, or would that slow them down because of the annoyance factor??

Oh wait, or would that slow them down because of the annoyance factor??
Then Mike would have to wait even longer, exacerbating his "condition" and likely leading to more time away from Deacon.
VDC is supposed to install the Aero Kit, Wing, iPod adaptor, so I'm sure it's my luck that it will be incredibly hard to match that particular batch of LiB and/or they are waiting on the wing, bearing the sudden shortage of material due to recent F-1 auto crashes... /sigh
(not sure about roof graphics sorry I can't be more help)

I understand they have a heck of a time with the Lib combo.

LiB is a metalic color, and they are the hardest to match. My Pure Silver scoop didn't match the hood when it arrived, and it was not easy making a match.
I thought I read a thread about an early VDC attempt at the new aero kit for a MY MINI where they had a great deal of trouble matching the areo to the body color. I thought it was by KarlinSanDiego, but it doesn't appear to be.
On the bright side, perhaps it will arrive when your finances do.
I'm not sure, it could go either way. Your MA should be able to let you know.
My baby is doing well. I picked her up from the vet at 4:30 today. I didn't realize how resilient the body can be. They repaired the knee by placing some non-absorbable suture material on the outside (inside and outside) of the knee. The tendons will regrow along the path of the material so she'll basically regrow the tendons. The new growth along with the scar tissue that will develop will probably make that knee stronger than her other one.
The suture material will act kind of like a bridge and guide the path of the new growth. They don't have to remove the sutures as it will be incorporated into the new tissue. The vet said they have had only two instances in the past 10 years where the dog has had a reaction to the sutures and they've had to remove the sutures after the new tendons have grown.
I've spent all evening with her and she is doing extremely well. She does have a morphine patch that should be effective for about 3-4 days. We have our next appointment in 10 days. The total recovery time is 12 weeks, very minimal activity the first 8 and then we can work on some rehabilitation the from weeks 9-12.
I'll be out of town this weekend. Hopefully I'll miss the news of Deacon being put on a truck and that he is headed to the dealer.
By that I mean, I hope he is on his way this weekend but it really would be nice to see the news as it happens instead of a day or two late.
It won't be too much longer Mike, you are in the home stretch though. I'm hoping you'll have some news before I get back home Sunday night.

I think that Karl had issues with the VDC trying to match the color then just ended up telling them to give him the parts and he had it matched and installed himself. Karl is a great guy and his MINI is stunning... his was the first I saw with the JCW Aero Kit and why I wanted one.
I'm so happy to hear about your pup, Gary
Please travel safely this weekend. We'll miss you.
As for those morphine patches that last 3-4 days....Can I make a special request for one for Mike?
The wait is becoming unbearable, particularly because our MA and the GM at Brecht had the day off yesterday...so Mike had no one to harass. The silence from the dealership right now is deafening. It's driving poor Mike over the edge. We're ready for Deacon now. Church is back to stock....and even has a stock radio as of last night. His CAI is back to stock. He's got back seats again! We'll clean him out tonight. The stock market's rebound in the last 2 weeks was a pleasant development. And if he arrived today - we are ready on all fronts to take delivery. The entire West Coast MINI birthing contingent is prepped and on-call. Deacon is going to have QUITE the welcoming committee
Mike will be contacting Brecht shortly (like, as soon as they open) with the 50th reminder NOT to drill holes in his bumper for the front plate. That would be bad, very very bad...and I know it's something that gets overlooked alot.
We've got our Edmunds and KBB printouts ready. We've got our delivery checklist. We have tissues. We are soooooo ready.

Hehe, the patch is actually a patch for a human
. I'm glad to hear the paperwork and financing is all lined up for Deacon.
.
Emily, Robin: I forgot to ask, how do you like the mudflaps on your Minis?
I really like mine, I still need to order a set for the back of my wife's Mini.

Gary, I'll second Tigs happiness that your puppy is doing well.
Have a good weekend.
Mike and Tigs... I'm on pins and needles waiting with you.
impatient If I could, I'd join the crew in SD to welcome Deacon.
It will be a great day indeed when Deacon finally comes home.

I don't like the name mud flaps... they aren't "flaps" and I'm not using them for mud.The rears I received from OutMotoring were for the MCS which has a different rear bumper. I'm glad to say that they are being great about sending me the correct ones along with a return label to ship them back the wrong ones.

Glad the pup is doing well. Surgery isn't any fun. Been there, done that.
I was on something stronger than morphine in June, but for some strange reason I can't remember then name of it.
This to shall pass. Hopefully, the VDC mods will get done soon.
Mudflaps -- a friend calls them "Tennessee gofasters." Not sure why. I'm happy with them. The fit into the design of the MINI well and look like a natural part of it.
