Nope, No news here. (SF/Bay Area).... Any others from the bay area waiting for Manon deliveries?

 

Called my MA and they just got my MINI in today. Looks like I am picking it up on Saturday.

I'm in So Cal. I think my dealer is the closest to the VDC.

 

i called my MA today and all he said was "any day" my mini could be coming. he claimed he asked his manager what's going on since someone who ordered fr the same dealership 2 wks after me, got his/hers today. his speculation was that it was because i ordered more options. i don't know if i buy that...

 

Well, OL updated finally, the prerequisite 3-4 days late... But now shows "At Vehicle Distribution Center".... that's progress anyways...

I still expect mid-late next week. No, I haven't called my MA!

 

I'm a sucker for seeing updates in the OL...even if they are 4 days behind!

So, I logged in and saw the same thing. The interesting part was when I went to the "Review Order Details" section it listed an "Estimated Delivery Date" of 7/22/07! Any chance that is true?

Anyone have an EDD listed in the OL that matches what your MA has told you?

 

Well, LA, that is an interesting development. So I checked my "Review Order Details", it shows "Estimated Delivery Date" as 7/20/07...

Hmmm, that would be.... Today! Well, I guess we'll see how accurate that date is. Or is it delivery date to the dealer? Or is it the date the dealer should have it ready?

I guess we'll find out fairly shortly. One thing for sure, the time is nearing!

So, that probably indicates delivery to the dealer. Even that's pretty good! The time is definitely nearing!!! :impatient

i got a EDD of 7/22/07 too... maxshire, you're so lucky!!! how'd you beat me by 2 days... and i'm here in san diego... shucks!!!

Traffic through LA is really that bad! They plan on spending two straight days on the Sepulveda Pass!

 

Well, I heard back from my MA. He was surprised about the delivery time posted on the OL site. He didn't know that they did that. Maybe it's new?

But he did confirm for me that it is correct. "Pippin" should be at my dealership on Sunday 7/22! He said that it will be "a few days for the pre-delivery inspection and detail" after that.

I don't know when scheduling will work out, but maybe next Friday!!

 

Hey, Maxshrike0... Good to see your getting closer with your MINI, I have been watching your posts and your MINIs progess. Interesting to see you have made a whole new batch of MOCD friends and have all of us Titus folks too.

holy canoli... i got a call today fr my MA. he said my mini got to the dealership today !!! however they still have to put this permaplate thing on it and then i can take it home. he offered me the option to take it home today, but i would have to bring it back monday early afternoon, and then pick it up later that afternoon, since their service dept closes at 5p and they don't work weekends. anyways... my hubby thought it would be a hassle for us to be going back and forth to the dealer so i have to wait until monday. dam... so close... it's just right there!!! i asked my MA if i can stop by tonight to check my mini out, but he said its in the service dept waiting in line...

kinda makes me worried that if i need to take it for a checkup, i only have business hours to take it in... does anyone else have service depts that are open on weekends?

I already got 100 miles on it just driving around the OC. Can't wait to really break it in...! If you SoCal kids see a black Sidewalk driving around, there's a high probability it's me.

Congrats on taking delivery!! The only thing is, your Sidewalk doesn't exist without pics .

 

Correct, the ETA in the OL updates twice, once when the status changes to En Route. The date listed at that point is the ETA to the VDC. Then once it leaves the VDC, the date will update again and that is for the arrival at the dealership.

 

Interesting info LadyAquila.... that perhaps means that the "Estimated Delivery Date" is to the dealership. That means my mini might be at my dealer as of today. (My OL showing 7/20) I'll just wait for them to call me... They'll get around to it eventually, I imagine...

 

I just got a call from my MA. My MINI has arrived at the dealer!!! He said that he hasn't seen it, but it's in the back lot.

He told me it would be ready for me to pick up on Wednesday. Unfortunately, I can't pick it up until Friday. I hope that Pippin doesn't feel unloved sitting there waitin' for me!

If you are at East Bay Mini, they just unloaded the truck with my girlfriends MCS today ... we were in the area and stopped by to check on the status and the salesman said that they had just pulled it off the truck. He even drove us over the the storage lot to take a look at it and even sit in it ... woo hoo. We are going to pick it up on Tuesday.
