well, looks like no more sailwx position callouts... last one was 11am PST 7/14 (this morning). So, estimating position, heading, speed... Manon should be passing Catalina Island right about now (2120 pst). Only 65 or so miles to go! She'll be at Hueneme in a few hours.

I wonder if they unload on Sundays?

Based on previous West Coast VDC postings, I don't think so.

They're probably unloading this morning.

Do you think the WW site will show the unloading of cargo? There's no update on my VIN number so far this morning.

 

I seem to recall with max1 that the WW site did update, but maybe that it was not as "real time" as it appeared in Southampton. Maybe it is delayed.

However, it did update- One big clue will be sometime today, and certainly tomorrow, the Hueneme leg of the voyage will be "Redded Out"... This seems to happen fairly quickly on WW. And, since that means Manon has left Hueneme, it will also follow that our Mini's VIN's will show as "Discharged".... And once your VIN shows "discharged", it will also show the date and time...

The question I have: will you see them come off as they actually unload Manon? Maybe it doesn't matter... By tomorrow we should at least know Manon left and possibly the timestamp of the time our minis were unloaded!

 

I keep watching both of those sections on the WW site.

It's not as fun as watching the Panama Canal webcams...but it's all we've got at this point! :impatient

Anybody heard from their MA's yet? Who's the first delivery going to be? Someone in So Cal, obviously...

 

Yes, MA said last few days of July, or first few days of August...for Portland.

 

I live about an hour away from Port Hueneme, and the dealer is about half way! They told me "Roughly 3 - 4 days." I am not sure as to whether he meant 3-4 days after it lands in port, or 3-4 days after inspection! I am hoping it gets here by Friday or Saturday... Though today would be nice

 

Just received a message from my MA that my pick up date is Aug.1 from Portland.

 

Congrats! August 1st sound pretty good for Portland! In fact, it's probably better than late July...you won't be paying for a full month of tags for just one or two days.

 

An hour away, eh? Santa Barbara...or maybe Thousand Oaks in the other direction? In any case, I think you'd be a good bet for the first delivery!

 

Called my dealer during lunch, just to check~ and found they did get a delivery today, mine was not in it, and will be in tommorow! So they are on their ways out!

 

i still haven't heard from my MA yet, since manon landed. niziex... lucky you!!! i'm still hoping for delivery this week since i'm somewhat nearby... we'll see...

 

My MA said 4-7 days from when he gets it, to go through inspection. He said it would be released to them on the 20th, so they would get it around the 24Th in Portland.

My MA called me yesterday and said my Sidewalk was at the South Bay MINI already. One last dealer checkup and I pick it up tomorrow???
