Simpson, Thanks for the support! I will punch in my vin number agian later, who knows maybe I will get lucky, but I suspect you might be right about not making the next boat. Oh well. Hope for the best
Very true. I'm only passing along how it has worked for the previous couple of weeks. There was a week in June where the ship got cancelled. That would have been a big bummer if you were waiting on it. I'm hoping amazingrando's Mini does make it onto the next ship, but I wanted to let him know that there is a possibility it might not make it.
Understood and I'm sure all appreciate your info, the entire system can be very confusng to new members.
I'm from WA state and this is once I have advantage of being in the bay area, I have seen some of the order times for Washington & Oregon. If I was still living in that area I would order from CA and cut the wait time down.
I live right off of I-5 so your Mini will be going past here, seems the Waggoners Trucking is used by BMW, enclosed trailers and well maintained rigs.

I'd considered it, but I felt I'd benefit from having the dealer a little bit closer when its time to take it in for service. If I needed a loaner or whatnot...
I've been told the it should take about 1-2 weeks to reach Portland once it arrives at the VDC. So it really isn't all that bad, I think the majority of that time is spent at the VDC anyway.
The real difference would be if a CA dealer was able to get the order into an earlier production week because they have a smaller waiting list or more production slots available to them.
I've heard of people ordering from the East Coast dealers and either flying out to pick them up or having them shipped. Personaly I would want to have more fun on the drive back than what you should have during the break in period .
I visited the four dealers that are in the area, all were giving August production, September delivery. At the present schedule I should be ahead of those dates, so still doing good.
Waiting for the Mini is still faster than the Can Am Spyder we are waitng for,put a deposit down on it before even doing a test ride so we were assured of having one of the first in CA. Dilvery is scheduled for Sept/Oct, been waiting 4 months so far.
GREAT!!! Good for you!!! Anyone else got ship information???
Yes. I'm on there also. But mine needs to come to AZ after arriving in port.
Well, let's hope we are in the new house by then. That will make it even better.
Not sure when it leaves is there a way to check that
Do you mean the date or the time? The date is under Schedule and Courage is arriving Southampton on 7/7 and leaving on the same day. It will arrive in New York on 7/15. I don't know the time, but right now it is 7/7 5AM there.
It is expected to depart at 16:00 GMT on Monday and it is expected to arrive in Southampton at 15:00 GMT this Sunday. It will spend 25 hours in at port.
EDIT: Ack!! Sorry that is the schedule for the TRISTAN not the COURAGE.

3 mind-numbingly LOOOOOOOONNNNG weeks! Then I've got at least another week before mine gets to New Mexico.

I'd probably say 1-2 weeks for the trip to New Mexico. It should be about the same distance as mine has to be trucked up to Portland, OR, depending on where in NM. The mind numbing does help though. The time for me is actually going by quicker than I've expected. It sounds like you've gotten your confirmation on making the booking for the Tristan. Congrats! Most of the vehicles probably won't be loaded onto it until Monday (at least that was the case with the Isolde).
Hang in there, your delivery is getting closer and closer

Mine from South Bay too! I guess we might share the same truck to the dealer also!

Arghhh! I figured I would make the Courage. My port will be Charleson for sure since I am close by to it in the SE. Just queried the WW site and still get no hit for my VIN!! I was scheduled for completion on the 6th & ASK MINI says it's being transported to the port of exit since Saturday.
Let me know if anyone gets a hit for a ship leaving for the East Coast in the next couple of days. In the meantime, I will check out the K line...
Looks like the next K Line auto carrier is due in Southhampton on the 13th. Departs for Baltimore / then Charleston/Jacksonville with a 23Jul07 arrival date. Not an easy line to search for your cargo. I'll let anyone know if I see anything here.
Great names of ships in Southhampton! I particularly like Bladerunner One & Two who are moving around now!

I believe the vehicle needs to be at the port several day in advance of the ship, I've heard as many as 3-4 days. And yes, it isn't as easy to find out the initial info on NYK or K lines but I think they are more likely to turn on their weather tracking systems than a WW vessel.
Good luck! I hope you can find out some info soon, I know it is a pain not knowing.
