Rattmobbins, do you know which VDC handles you folks in NM? Here in TX we go the east coast route, and that seems to get us our Minis a bit ahead of same week productions going to the left coast and the longer boat ride.

 

I'm pretty sure it's the VDC in Cali. My MA mentioned it has to go through the Panama Canal, so...

Kinda sucky, but such is life.

Hey all! Just placed my order last Saturday the 23. Today ASK MINI said my MCS is scheduled to be completed on July 1!!!! Does that make me week 27? I hope so. This is all going much faster than I anticipated. Here's what I got:

PW/B MCS; Black sport stripes; Premium PKG; Convenience PKG; Auto (to please the wife, but I still think it will be a blast ); DSC; Xenon; Rear Fog; White Turn; Lounge Carbon Black; Piano Black; Cream White Color Line; HiFi; Chrome Line Int.; Anthro Headliner

Hmmm, finishing up July 1st? I think that makes you a week 26, but I could be wrong. AskMini said mine would be completed the 3rd or 4th of July, and I know I'm week 27. Just call 1-866-ask-mini to find out for sure.

 

I went to the Owners lounge and found my order. When I checked the order options, I couldn't find my interior leather listed within the options ordered? Is this normal?

 

OL shows everything except my rooster red seats too. MA says that's normal.

 

Well talking to ASK MINI today I verified that the production week actually starts on Sundays, now if I just had an exact date for production.

 

Yeah, I don't know how much I should trust what ask mini tells me. They told me today that I had been bumped up to production week 26 (this week), but that my car still hasn't gone into production. That leaves only tomorrow and Saturday in week 26. I don't get it.

 

I'M IN PRODUCTION AS OF THIS MORNING!!! WOO HOO!!!

 

Not fair ! I called this morning and still getting the same reply "week 27" with no exact date.

Grats!!! Welcome to Week 26! I think mine is still in production, probably going to miss the boat where most Week 26 would be on.

 

You are in week 27. The week is based on when it is completed, not when it starts production. Or so I've been told. I thought I was a week ahead of what I actually was as well until someone corrected me.

 

Congrats, your in week 27. Your Mini should finish production on either July 2nd or 3rd. Since you said your VDC was in Port Hueneme you should be catching the WW ship the
Tristan which is due to leave Southhampton on 7/9. Your information should show up on the WW site Friday July 6th. The Tristan is scheduled to arrive at Port Hueneme on July 30th.

I'm a week 26 person, and I've checked with prior weeks and we pretty well have the timing down on how the system works now .

My MCSa went into scheduled for production status on June 19th, it finished production on June 26th even though ASK MINI was saying the estimated date was June 25th (this happened with quite a few of the week 26 folks). Mine is going to Port Hueneme as well, the shipping information just showed up today on WW for a departure on July 2nd.

The days of the week were the same for the previous week's production run.

 

Awesome!!! I don't see myself with a better group of people... I mean, week 27 is the place to be, right?!?

 

amen brother, i called ask mini and they said mine is scheduled for completion on July 5th!!! sweet!!!!

 

I guess I am also week 27 then. I thought I was week 26 because production started last Tuesday but it won't be done until July 2 and it won't make the boat leaving at July 2. I will probably be on Tristan then!

OK, so ASK MINI says my car is in the paint shop and scheduled completion is July 1st (today). Is that possible??? If so, I'm impressed... wait, I already was...

Anyway... Hope everyone's wait is going well. I know it's excruciating, but before we know it (hopefully), we'll be out on the road with our babies!

Anybody got names picked out yet, or are you waiting to meet him/her?

Don't be too surprised if it doesn't finish production until the 3rd. When I was calling about mine, ASKMINI had it in the paint shop from Saturday through late Monday. When I called on Monday it was still listed as being in the paint shop and it was due to be completed that day. I called again the following day (Tuesday) and it was completed. It seems as if the vast majority of them get completed on Tuesdays.

Just called ASK MINI and they say production started yesterday.

 

If you production started yesterday, you are in week 28, possibly 29 (if it isn't finished by the 7th). Sunday was day 1 in week 28 but the week assignment is actually based on when your Mini is scheduled to be completed, most of the people in week 27 will have their Minis completed today or tomorrow.
