What are you guys paying for 2007 S

Hi, everyone, I'm wondering what everyone paid for there mini coopers. How much under sticker did you get them for. I went today to look at them, still trying to get a good trade in for my car. But If i get the right deal, I'm buying one...

Welcome to NAM!

There's a bunch of discussion on that very topic!

It varies a bit between regions, but pretty much MSRP is status quo.

you pay sticker, i know it sucks, i like haggling, but thats the way they do it.

Try and get them to throw in something if it will make you feel better. I did and it made me feel alot better.

I will say paying sticker (which i have never done(usually i pay invoice or close too it), but since thats the way it is)) was not bad at all. I have never liked a single sales person, except my MA. And would never want to see a single one of them again, except for my MA. He was really fighting for me to make me happy, but it was only in the realm where he was able too. None of the phoney "Wish me luck as i go try this price with my sales manager" or any of that fake crap.

I get e-mails from him about status changes and he is looking out for a few items i would like to get.

The best car buying experiance ever.

He's right...most people pay straight MSRP. A few get free floor mats. The crazy ones may get a couple of hundred off if their dealer is into offering discounts. Some aren't. The good news is that supply is unusually high right now (thanks to increased production @ Plant Oxford), so it may be a good time to deal.

I bought mine from a BMW dealer in Europe, Im American of course, but you WILL not haggle over price. Ya I miss that too for some odd reason. We received special discounts do to who we work for, but my 07 is worth its blue book, I saved about 5 Gs on mine, but....BUT.....you gotta serve Americas favorite UNCLE and thats only worth about a 2 G discount IN EUROPE. It is a fast car however, they, or mine is unregulated forget about the advertised top speed,

Yeah, pretty much MSRP on the specc'd car (Some are still paying a dealer mark-up).

Try haggling over accessories and dealer installation fees, though (mats, driving lights, iPod adaptor, that kind of stuff). People are reporting some good savings in these ares.

I got mine at $500 under MSRP with mats thrown in. I even got the clear bra kit (is it called invisashield or something?) for free. Overall, the car buying experience was good, but the service has been straight up lousy, hence the free clear bra kit.

yeah I was at the dealership yesterday, they offered me 23,500 for my trade in at first. 2006 sti's are going threw the auction between 25,800 to 26,200. I told them that, they came back at 25,000. I wanted 25,500 for the trade in. I had to leave to get back to work, and they said they where going to call me and let me know either way, I haven't heard anything as of today. We will see what happens

I got about $700 off MSRP with rubber floor mats (front and rear). Go to South Bay Mini in Torrance.

I'm in Los Angeles, and planning on buying when the '09s are out. Seems like South Bay is the place to go, even though I live 3 miles away from Bob Smith. Don't even get me started on the test drive experience I had there.

So is there anything I should watch out for at SB? Anybody you can recommend to deal with? Any "fees" to watch out for? I plan on ordering mine.

How hard did you have to haggle to get that? Their FAQ still says they are a no haggle MSRP dealer. One of my local dealers are saying MSRP haven't checked the other one. BTW are there even 07's available? I thought all cars on lots now are 08's

just paid MSRP at Mini of Dallas, but got free floor mats, and a free magnetic badge holder is waiting for me next time I stop in. And I got the upgraded keychain - The silver bulldog. But this is our third purchase from our same MA. On the first purchase I told him I couldn't believe I was about to pay sticker and that he should throw in a copy of The Italian Job. He said, don't have those, but I'll toss in free mats & badge holder. On the second one, he tossed in free chrome hood scoop, install of our chrome mirror caps (I already had those myself), free badge holder. I think they plan on about $200 worth of 'gratis' at MoD between labor, parts, gimmies.

That's pretty much what they told me when I stopped in. About 250 worth of extras but sticker. He did tell me the invoice and profit is about $2,200 on the S. I couldn't believe they wouldn't do 500 off on a 2,200 margin but oh well.

Did you check out Moritz, are they also sticker?

Paid MSRP in MN. They are selling 'em like crazy so for the most part it's gonna be MSRP wherever you go. My MA alone had 3 deliveries today including mine... dealership wide the sold 14.

This is the first time I've had to pay more than invoice. But I knew going into it that I wouldn't be able to talk them down and didn't even try.

Philippe at Southbay. Give him a ring and see what happens. I wanted to buy from him but ended up going local in Orange County because I didn't want to drive up there. That said, he's great to work with and has excellent service.

So the million dollar question is, who actually got 1,200-1,500 off and where did they do it?

MSRP with mats. Still ticks me off 14 months later. I got my last BMW 3 for 6k off MSRP and the blasted Mini I couldn't get a dime off it.
