I give up!!! Can't find a name, please help!

So I picked up my CR/B MCS on 4/30 and have tried to find a name since then but have failed miserably. I'm not a creative person at all and nothing sounds right...would you guys please help??? My MINI is beginning to think I don't have much love for him as he's still "nameless."

Any and all suggestions are welcome My MINI thanks you in advance!!!

I'll help~ but I need more information...

Do you have some more pictures so I can check out his "personality" from various angles?

Have you done any mods to him yet, and if so, what?

Are you sure it's a male?

Can you briefly describe how it (he) makes you feel while you're motoring?

What's the BEST thing you love about your new MINI?

There, that's a good start....now let's get the creative juices flowing and help a fellow motorer out!

Ok...here's the info.

I think it's a male, but I've never named a car before so I'm struggling a bit. My friend thinks it's female b/c it's red??? I find her reasoning is flawed somehow...it feels like a male to me...don't really know why

The only mod has been tinted windows which did not come out so good...the film has that greyish look to it that I ended up hating on the car so I will have it redone by somebody else w/ the film that looks "black." That will probably be the only mod though.

I love driving it! I think what I love the most is how happy the car looks all the time...it sort of gets me in a good mood A little crazy, I know...but you asked

As far as pics, here's one but there are others in the following thread - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t=97225&page=6
I'm sorry; I don't have more and tried to post the ones in the above thread here, but got a message that they were already posted somewhere else. I have to figure out how to fix that...

There is an old "(60's) song by Neil Diamond about "Cracklin' Rose", a red wine that makes him forget everything but the good time he is having right then. Sets the world right.
I offer Cracklin' Rose.

I like "RedRocket" and I've always loved Sebastian but that used to be my Beta fish's name...how bad is it if I use the same name for the MINI???

I like some of the others too...thank you sooo much!!! I'll give it some thought and share w/ the MINI to see which one he responds to the best

I think your Beta Fish would be honored to have a MCS named after him

I first thought Scarlet, but if it's male maybe Rhett, for the male of the same film.

OK, you've got the Piano Black interior, so allow me to riff on that:

Steinway
Baldwin

Oh man you just helped me out too. Thanks! I've been dying trying to name my MCS. But Miles is just perfect and literal too. After just 2 weeks of ownership I've packed 2k+ on this little pocket rocket. Ahhhh, such a relief. Miles...perfect.

Sorry to jump in this thread like that.

Maybe Bach or Johann - for your Betta (Sebastian) and the piano black interior. Plus it's BMW German. Love the fish, but, give the car its own identity.

Names:

Driving as many canyon roads as I can find here by the coast! I find myself just parked by the beach for the sunset...but miss it since I'm more interested in just sitting in the Mini

Nice car! Rufus is cool name. Does 'he' remind you of anyone/thing? Mine is named for the fish on Amercian Dad (german spy turned to pet goldfish-Claus) That was until I really started adding to him. Now he is getting more and more like Tweek (from Southpark). Yeah, thats right, I spend all my time not driving watching cartoons...Im pathetic, I know, but sometimes a little easier to swallow than reality. Do you feel he is more of a proper British lad, or is he German? Here's a couple more names....Winston, Nigel, Abel, Burne, Jack (be nimble), Peck, Pip, Redman, Redford, Redd, Ace, Simon, Theodore, Roo, Ridley, Russ, Rudy, Addison, Alvin....Hope this helps, and good luck to you. It will come to you!

That's what I named my MINI plush bulldog!

I like word association. Red = rouge = rogue (though there is a vendor rogue minis)

Or more on the red theme, how do you feel about "communist chic" (i.e. people who think it's cool to wear USSR tshirts, etc). China, Havanna, Gorby...

But don't stress. You can take your time until it comes to you.

I appreciate the suggestion but being Cuban and having grown up in a communist system it is the last thing I would name my MINI after. Believe it or not, I've had to put up w/ some family jokes on the red/black association to the communist theme. That's off topic though.

I'm still thinking and wanted to thank you guys for the suggestions...I have told myself I will find a name by the end of the week so I will keep you updated!

I hope no offense was taken! Glad I prefaced as just something that some people think is cool. Moussilini (ya, not commusit, but popular), Stalin t-shirts not so cool, was just throwing it out there.

Oh no worries!!!!! I definitely did not find it offensive; just felt like sharing why I wouldn't choose it Sorry if it didn't come across through my reply, but it's surely a non-issue

I still appreciated the suggestion
